 		I think it was actually Troy, but I'm not completely sure. I do know it was confirmed his middle name does not start with an R by somebody.

 		You mean, Alex Kralie's middle name doesn't start with an R? Or, Joseph's middle name does, and that's where the rumor was extrapolated?

 		I started putting this together in a thread that since died, but I was updating it today and thought I could share... I know there's a few similar things but I had a few notes I'm not sure have been mentioned. Shoved in a quote box for neatness:

APRIL

-4th: Alex's friend Amy finds a camera in their house. Operator appears.

-18th: Jay recieves a video of the events of the 4th, uploads as Entry #26.
-21st: Jay first visits the shack, events shown in Entry #34.
-22nd: Jay's second visit to the shack. "Finding Alex". Entry #35 and #36.

MAY

~1st: Alex phones Jay. That night, Jay is videoed sleeping in his car by TTA. Entry #39 and Forecast.
~2nd: Jay's forray into Rosswood. Operator encounter, camera returned, meets Alex. Order of events a bit muddled but presumably the same day. Entry #40 - #42.
~3rd - 5th: Not very long after (maybe even next day?) Alex takes Jay to see Amy's house. Later that day he goes into the woods and encounters Operator. Entry #43.


JUNE



JULY



~20th - 31st: Alex catches hoody creeping 'round his staircases, chases to woods. Fight with Tim, Operator probably shows up. Entry #45.

AUGUST

-8th: No videos, but speculation that 8/10 written near Alex's boiler refers to this date. Would have been written before then though.


SEPTEMBER



NOVEMBER


~23rd: Jay awakes in the hotel. Series 2 begins.


There are 4 entries I haven't placed: #29, #38, #44 and #46. We'll ignore #29 for now since there's been no new information lately.

It was shown in the #46 thread that we can see in Alex's room one of the pages he weas drawing in #44, putting #46 the later of the two. It occurs to me, though, that we might be able to place them a bit better. In the fight with Tim and Co in #45, Alex loses his glasses. Somebody suggested a while back that when Tim hits beside Alex with the rock, he's actually breaking Alex's glasses. Either way, I'm goint to theorise they were broken in the struggle: therefore, both #44 and #46 come before the end of July. However, Alex has no glasses on in #38 (the 'spooky ghost story' entry) putting that august or later. I'd guess at a bit later (mid september maybe) because both Jay and Alex are in long sleeved sweatshirts IIRC. Also, Alex's stony behaviour might actually just be him still being pissed off at Jay for stalking round his house.

Further spec might put #44 in May, just after the trip to Amy's house because of the way he phones Jessica. Alex is dressed a bit differently though (different watch, shirt seems different) so maybe the next day or two?

TLDR: The missing entries are:

~May 6th: Entry #44
~Before July 29th: Entry #46
~Mid September: Entry #38


Let the theory collapsing commence. It is worth mentioning that even if Jay has decided the majority of June and July is not worth sharing, we've still got at least two months of events before Jay awoke. So plenty more entries yet!

I don't think that was ever disproved... plus, Alex is the only character with a given last name and it consists of the word "ark" backwards and "lie," and it's not even a real last name, so my guess is there's some meaning behind it.

I think what Malachi's going for is that traditional searches for surnames don't turn up anything for "Kralie". Lots of websites allow searching for history of different surnames, and when looking for "Kralie", nothing comes up on these sites. I think that's what s/he meant by a "real" last name.

In my experience, this is common.

One of the characters of my Slender Man story is a last name I completely made up. I have no idea if it's a real name.

 		I just noticed that there's a pale yellow hoodie in the driver seat, right next to the water bottle, in Jays car in entry 27. Looks like hoodys. Thoughts?

Jay probably isn't Hoody, unless they come up with some extremely unexpected plot twist that allows Jay to be in two places at once with the power of his hoody.

It's likely Troy's hoody and he left it in the car.

What I want thoughts on is why JAY IS STUPID ENOUGH TO CLOSE THE DOOR ON JESSICA WHEN HE SPECIFICALLY TELLS HER TO LEAVE HER DOOR OPEN. Pony?! Pony?! Pony?!

The other advantage in the context of an ARG is that the character is very distinct.

Don't forget a lot of ARGs have things like twitter or facebook for their characters that players are encouraged to find - imagine if Alex was called 'Alex Smith' or something, there would probably be loads of Alex Smiths who got tired very quickly of random strangers emailing them things in base64 and all that jazz.

I mentioned that in another thread and further analysis showed that Jay's hoodie has a zipper (he unzips it to take it off at the hotel) and Hoody's did not have a zipper.
