But that leads to a lot of questions? Was Michael ever Michael? Or has he been Patrick the whole time we knew him? Certainly seems possible. If we've never met Michael it leads one to wonder what that clock could represent.

If the dream was not falsified by Patrick, it might mean something bad is about to happen. If it was, it might simply mean that he's up to SOMETHING.

I'm pretty sure That was Micheal up until he got all tying your brother up and dance around with a knifey unless theres another personality to come into play.

Agreed on the bad things are going to happen front. I think the fact the Mr. Tall and Faceless was going nuts on that door pretty much signifies that.

The only reason I don't think we've ever met Michael is because according to Michael's friend from the crazy house, he was calling himself Patrick back then.

Still, even Patrick makes it seem like Michael has partial awareness, so I guess that makes that theory less likely. *shrug* Can't say I didn't try.

Two ways I think this could have gone. Patrick was in control in the institute or whatever, but Mike came back and with medication (sedation?) was able to squash his tendencies. Or it has been Patrick playing nice so he would be released, then doing the vlogs because that was a condition of his release.

I like theory one much better. I like to think of this as a battle for the body, not just a 'it was Patrick all along' mind screw. Just my two cents.

I think Patrick only really came through when Michael was in danger of killing himself. When Shaun and Eric abandoned him for a while, there was an entry where "Michael" is begging Shaun to come back, and off to the side we see a stool and a length of rope. Maybe Michael tried hanging himself, but Patrick stopped him. Patrick's plan, whatever it is, seems to involve Shaun in some way, so he filmed the entry to try and manipulate Shaun into coming back.

It's also possible that Patrick's persona started to show up during Michael's rehabilitation, and if Michael became suicidal then Patrick took over until he got over that rough patch, got some nice medication, etc. Then Patrick, his work done, faded into the subconscious, and...I don't know, hibernated? I'm not very good at articulating so I'm sorry if this came across in a jumble.
