 		Ah, excellent. That was also updated on the blog. Maybe you can tell us what the email address is now. That would be helpful so we can get some direct dialogue going with him/her/it.

The new transposition translates to:

Find this ring and I will give your dog back

But as noted below there is no image, just a CID code for an email attachment.


EDIT: Been doing some research on that string of numbers which is apparently an image. It seems as if that's an email attachment which has been pasted onto the blogger. I'm guessing the original attachment was in the email sent to m6 or that the PM accidentally copied and pasted the CID code rather than the image into their email AND the blogger. Either way, I don't think we can find out much from that alone unless it's also a code.Researching now.

EDIT: Thought it might be base 64, it's not. Seems too random of a file name to be nothing though, but I've seen stranger file names. Google turns up no results and I'm not sure where to go from here so I guess I'll just wait for another update or a fresh brain to have a crack at it.[/spoiler]

 		Acualy the email just contained codes I don't know what it was so I thought I post it Also some tranposion saying find this ring and I will give your dog back

 		Ok, seems the PM made an error then and just copied the CID code into the email and blog by accident. So we're waiting on a picture. In the meantime, the man who found Finn is uploading a picture of his ex-wife's wedding ring to see if that's the ring our mystery kidnapper is looking for. If it is, we'll have to see if we can give him the ring in return for Jake the dog.

EDIT: Link to picture of the ring is up on both blogs. Asking if we can give it to the kidnapper.

UPDATE: We have a new post on the second blog from our kidnapper and a new post on the original blog.

Our crazy friend who sees cartoons has met a new cartoon character, a kid superhero called Howard (or little Howard) who is possibly from a show called 'Little Howard's Big Question' (a live action TV show about a man with an animated friend called Howard), though I'm not sure about which cartoon he's from for sure. Turns out Howard is a superhero who gets his powers from a ring.

It also turns out that the ring the kidnapper wants has now changed as he wants Howard's ring and powers. This was revealed in another transposition cipher, solved below:

'After seeing Matt's post about being saved by a superhero who wore a ring that gave him superpowers no (sic) I changed the ring that were (we're?) looking for'

I assume Matt's our cartoon loving friend, and now we have to figure out how to get Howard's ring or if there's a way we can get Jake back without giving him the ring. Maybe a fake ring instead?

 		Hey guys. I haven't been following this one very closely at all, but I got an e-mail tonight and thought you might like to see it. I'm sure it's nothing new, but I didn't see it anywhere in the thread already, and I'd hate to keep it to myself.
