Speaking of the wiki I've been getting a lot of questions there about the Candleverse and Iteration theory so I wrote up a page for that:

http://everymanhybrid.wikia.com/wiki/Iteration_Theory

Please have a look and see if I am missing anything important and make sure I've explained things properly. You know, it always sounds good in your own head, but whether or not someone else can understand it is a sticky point.

Maybe just because there's so many people around? I'm trying to think of times we've seen Slendy in legitimately populated places and coming up blank.

that might be it. i heard a theory once that detailed how slendy can only do his ninja moves when he isnt being "observed", hence why you never see him vanish right before you, but he always shows up BEHIND you or AROUND A CORNER, from a blind spot. being seen suposibly locked him into this reality. that would feed the idea that hes either stablized/strenghtened by us (as steph points out often) via our belief in him. video cameras are probly like a giant boost since they post the videos for the masses to see and create more belief.

I've heard this one before, not too sure about it. I think it might have more to do with none of the vlogs really have the ability to portray Slendy teleporting in on camera and not look like the orange tic-tac episode of Oh God He's at my Window.

Um, Marble Hornets entry #44 has him teleport right into Alex's room...

It does so via a time lapse, doesn't it? As if we're watching images from every few seconds of the tape to save time? I got the impression we missed the actual 'blink' in to the room.

Seems pretty comprehensive to me, CoA. I noticed a few small things:

- Under The Theory, it says "posits that the Jeff...". Did you mean to clarify that you're referring to EMH!Jeff & co.?
- In light of the dual universe aspect, will the phrase "universal avatar/archetype/version" be confusing? I've been proofreading work stuff all day and my mind is in QUESTION EVERYTHING mode.

I also fixed a typo. Am I supposed to make a note of that or something? I wasn't logged in.

We're super laid back about that kind of thing. You're doing great. :]

No, he literally teleports right in, affecting the camera, and then the camera freaks slightly more when the Operator takes Alex presumably.

We're talking about entry #44.

Edit--ANYWAY! Let's keep talking about EMH...

Interesting development over at the wiki, someone has pointed out that Jeff says the black box device was 'rick-tick-ticketing' when Slenderman was in the storage unit. The phrase 'Rick-Tick-Tick Goes the Man in the Woods' was carved on the exterior of Box 1.

Thanks tijde! there is an edit log at the wiki, so all edits can be seen, no need to make a note. I fixed your problem 1 there... not sure what to do with problem 2, or even if it is a problem...

Fantastic observation! Great job, FerbSinatra. I wonder if it might be time to start poring over the earlier videos (and tweets? and CYSTW posts?) again.

Aaaaand, now I imagine that thing typing tweets out in all caps. Imagining Habit looking like that somehow makes him much scarier.

Hello! I'm an ARG n00b and have been lurking around here since April. I thought I'd let you guys know that I'm going to read Stephanie Tolan's book, Welcome to the Ark. Someone on this forum brought it up a while back (can't remember your name, sorry!) and pointed out that there may be some similarities between its characters and our EMH crew. I doubt I'll find anything groundbreaking, but if I see some interesting connections, I'll let you guys know! Smile
