Right now I'm only really actively watching two series: MH, and TJAP. I've got my foot in the door of TT and EMH, but I think I've come along a little lately to seriously devote myself to them and I've got problems about trying to delve seriously into those two.

Also watching to see how The Hardest Choice shapes up, but since that's only really just started its hard for me to say now how closely I will be on it. Oddly, it's not slendy that spooks me on this one, its the other things going on.

Here's how I shape them up:
1. Marble Hornets - the slender vlog flagship, like it or not. great videography, reasonable story/mystery, plenty of workable puzzles; not vastly much interaction.
2. TJ & Amy Film Projects - Great story, workhorse creative team, creative use of low-budget effects, acknowledged RL timeline to conclusion. The DYI ethic/feel on this vlog is outstanding, IMO.
3. EMH - high focus on interactive/gaming part of ARG vlog, intricate storyline and characters, good coordination of a large cast. Probably the best ensemble of the vlogs. Videography is pretty decent too. If I had come on it earlier, I very well might be deeply devoted to it.
4. Tribe Twelve - Someone called this the vlog with the best special effects. I'll agree that the visual effects are like nothing else in nearly any other vlog, although I don't always like how the SM is portrayed (I'm kinda tired of slendicles). The acting is a little dodgy here and there, which puts me off now and again. I keep a foot in it 'cause I'm curious about the story even if the protagonist isn't always compelling.

Series/Blogs I'm interested in by concept, but haven't gone into:
1. photofugitive
2. whatever that OPEN one is
3. iliketrees (which spooked me with ONE perfectly normal photo).
4. Slendersuits (which has 2 entries and non-typical effects)

Also, I'm loving marblebumblebees since it doesn't even take itself seriously, even as a parody.

Tribe Twelve's good, but the beginning kind of sucks. However, the later videos make up for it.

MLAndersen0 is pretty easy to catch up on. Just watch the videos, and look for the occasional update from the channel. The story is pretty sweet, as is the acting, and overall, it's right up there with MH for me.

TJAProjects is alright, in my eyes. It's EASILY the most depressing of the ones I follow. As soon as shit happens, one will likely think, "Nah. It can only go uphill." Then something else happens to make the previous seem like nothing happened. :c

EveryManHybrid... I'm still trying to follow it, but... I don't know. I can't be bothered to look up all the stuff for it. I just want to enjoy the videos, really. xD

TribeTwelve, I enjoy it. If only because the guy curses so much. The effects are good, but the latter videos are where it's at. The "Submissions" are what they are... Similar to Marble Hornets.

compileTRUTH, good for compilations on the other series. Surprisingly useful and interesting. He apparently has his own series, but I was just checking out the compilations. c:

I don't really follow blogs, so... xD But there's my thoughts.

TribeTwelve and The Andersen Journals(aka MLAndersen01) I think are the best Slendyvlogs other than Marble Hornets. I also like EHM but my enjoyment of the series is challenged by how convoluted the story is.

There is also this short film that was inspired by Marble Hornets(and TT I think). It's about a man that gets turned into a robot that can't talk.

It has nothing to with Slender Man or the mythos but if you are into the style of MH and TT you should really enjoy it. Actually everyone should check it out.

I remember the first time Digital Perspective was linked here. I was struck by the similarity of that video to the backstory of an old PC game called The Daedalus Encounter.

Normally, I'd say that the purpose of this thread is already filled by an entire forum on this board, but since we've brought it up, I would like to ask this:

Does anyone actually follow MyDarkJournal? I remember when the creator first started virally messaging peoples' YouTube accounts (I'm guessing finding them either here or from comments on EMH or TTA videos), and it seemed really... lame and copy-catish. I tried looking at it again several months later and it still just kinda seems dumb to me.

Does anyone actually see anything redeeming in it? I'd really like to know, because I'm not the kind of person who generally just disregards something as being without merit.

I've never heard of that game so you can be sure I didn't take any inspiration from it. The inspiration for that movie mostly came from The Diving Bell and The Butterfly, Marble Hornets, and the flashback scenes in Robocop.

Anyway my favorite Slendy vlogs are Tribe Twelve, MLAndersen01, and Everymanhybrid.

I also somewhat enjoy CompileTruth but it's mostly because of the compilations.

I will recommend people check out Slender Suits, which started as mocumentary on Slender Man and has now evolved into a series. Only one episode has been posted and God is it a great introduction.

Here's the documentary

Forgot about CaughtNotSleeping. I sort of look at it in the same way that I look at Photofugitive, though the two are pretty different. It does have my interest.

Nobody ever seems to talk about it, so I wanna push ohgodhesatmywindow. Funny, but good.

Or...this AMAZING blog called The Hardest Choice. I wonder who makes it...because they're probably really sexy.

^For which one? I just really like OGHAMW, I'm not advertising it. Though, it lost steam with the Ordeals, IMO.

If you're talking about THC, I wouldn't know what you're talking about. I have nothing to do with the sexy PM of that series.

I think MarbleHornets is probably the best vlog. It's just so well done and the story is always interesting. The puzzle aspect is what keeps me constantly checking back, and there's even things to go back and look through after the seasons are over.

TribeTwelve isn't as good I think as MarbleHornets, but I think it's strength lies in its effects (seriously, when I saw slendy's tentacles come around that door I screamed and jumped out of my seat) and then I like the Observer. Really, really creepy guy/collective (kind of totheark-ish but the observer was a collective before it was sure that totheark was one) that I think saves the series, because you really get the feeling like Noah is this poor excuse of a character that's really going to lose and lose hard up against the observer.

EMH's back story is actually really fascinating, if I had the time to look through everything omg.

But for the blogs I've really enjoyed the ones I've read like DreamsInDarkness and Just Another Fool

Does anyone have any suggestions for series that are non-Slenderman? Ones that resemble the style and feel of MH?

mlandersen0 deserves more love. incredibly solid acting, story, and take on slenderman. very entertaining. probably my 2nd favorite slendervlog.

i'd say how awesome tt and emh are but they're doing fine.
