Yeah in the commercials for Cobalt it says:
"Peppermint that cools as you chew."
It's like super mint to me.
I prefer Rain over Cobalt.

I'm always hesitant to try mint-flavored things because I HATE spearmint but LOVE peppermint.
I right there with you, sister. York Peppermint Patties: good. Cheap mint chocolate chip ice cream: bad. Wintergreen is another good flavor for Life Savers, until it starts reminding me of the taste of Pepto-Bismal.
Per http://www.wrigley.com/global/brands/5-gum.aspx#panel-2
Quote:
• Rain®...a tingling spearmint
• Cobalt®...a cooling peppermint
• React™ Mint...a unique mint flavor experience
That last one scares me!
p.s., and they still haven't put Swerve on that webpage, hrmmm.

Thanks for putting up that link so that I can finally say what I have been dying to now that I know that Wrigley's also makes Orbit.
Orbit is the gold standard of gum. Lasts long and has great taste.
I'm still going to give 5 the old "college try", but it's got big shoes to fill!

I wasn't trying to egg you on or anything, just to be clear.

I really, really like the Swerve flavor they sent me. It's like a fruity dessert in itself. The problem is it lasts a few minutes and then just gets rubbery I guess that's so you chew more but no store around here is selling Swerve yet so I have to conserve my gum, lol.

I know ^^ I just love that phrase, and I'm glad to see people do taste it differently than I do. I'd had a theory it was just so generically mint that people had too hard a time describing their taste.

I looooove 5 gum already, Rain is my go-to gum.
I got a package of mint React last night... I don't know what's supposed to be special about it, other than the fact that it's black.

I've always been a gum chewer, so switching out my Trident for 5Gum was an interesting transition -- it's also kind of nice now because I have 2 packs of gum in every purse and bag I own, plus my car, so if anyone asks, "Anyone got any gum?" the answer is "ME ME ME".
I'm also kind of disappointed with the short-flavor of some of the fruit, the React 2 pink had seriously short flavor time. Same with Vortex. Prism isn't too bad, and I really like it as a watermelon flavor. Om nom. Swerve was interesting, and the flavor lasted a little longer than some of the others.
Cobalt's probably my favorite thus far, and the flavor is strong and lasts for all of time. Rain's okay, but... eh.
I really, really want to try Solstice, but I haven't seen any with codes yet.

My sister-in-law thought I had a sudden 5 Gum obsession, so she bought me a pack of Solstice. She didn't know I was only going for the marked ones, but it was nice of her anyway. The flavor was good, but if I recall correctly I only had one piece. The rest I gave away at HP7p2.

Just watched a Cobalt commercial and actually smelled it. Which is kind of weird, and perhaps a sign their brainwashing is coming to fruition.

So, I'm in my smart car with my wife, and I pop a piece of Vortex in my mouth and my wife wrinkles up her nose and says, "What is that smell? Is that your gum? It smells..... damp and punky...unfresh, even." I, of course, wouldn't know because I can't smell anything...Really. Maybe that has something to do with why I think the gum loses it's flavor too soon, although, Vortex is not a bad as some of the others for that....

Cobalt not my favorite flavor, but it is lasting a LONG time. And when you breath in it feels like your out in the cold. I've found a winner. Good tasting, long lasting.

The Swerve flavor leaves a very nice aroma in the washer.
