I second an exasperated face for St. Louis. Or Kansas City. Or Tulsa. Anywhere in that general area would be awesome.
Ended up throwing my vote to Houston, since I have friends and family in the area, some of which apparently actually follow this ARG. Was a surprise to see the "friends that liked this" box on that page.

I've been seeing a lack of Philly. But anyway, Philly's got my vote, I live ten minutes away. This shouldn't be much of an issue for me.

I voted for Philly for you, Inya!
Though like I said, Miami wouldn't be so bad if the drop happens while I'm there. *crosses fingers*

Shame this is a popularity contest, there's no chance for out of towners to get it if tons of people from the cities are voting there.

Id vote for KC since I live in a suburb, we get no love from companies on either coast here

I got a bit sad when I saw that Philadelphia dropped out of the top 3...

Hmm. Funny this drop starts the same day as the Perseids Meteor Shower.
I'll be out stargazing this weekend along the coast, but hope to come back to some new Mission Icefly goodness.
Think there's something there? Like, might they have chosen the date of the shower intentionally? Think about the supernatural (possibly alien) elements to the story, and the dropping of the icefly helicopters. *shrug* Maybe that's just the sci-fi nerd in me.
At any rate, shame I missed the Portland drop last time. Maybe there's still a chance for me in the future.

Hmm...that's not a bad theory, what with the constellation keys and all. (I realize stars and meteors have little to do with each other, except for the element of...SPAAAAAAAAAACE!)
But I think the particular date you have in mind might just be the end of the voting period. We don't actually know when the drop will take place. Undoubtedly there will be yet another countdown.

That hasn't escaped me, but we have nothing to indicate that it's NOT when the drop will occur, so it's best to assume it will.

Yes, I've wondered if it's only the voting or the drop as well. It would make sense if they needed some time before the end of the vote and the drop, though they've not said either way.
And yes, it is that "SPAAAAACE!" element I was referring to as well (though I did say I was going stargazing when my main purpose for being out this weekend is to watch the shower. Not stars. For most people, all elements of things outside our world are lumped together. I could see them using this, tying in a meteor shower).
Even if this ARG is entirely gum-related and/or not sci-fi at all outside of the log files (which would make for a fantastic graphic novel), I still enjoy the spacey/techy theme they've got going. And the art teams have done stellar jobs.

Well you're right about this being anyone's game. Houston just tore it's way to 3rd place talk about a killer jump.

Go Houston!
I am curious about how this all went down last time, since I am very close to houston I would love to try for this. Should I be closer to downtown when the timer ends?
