Okay, it seems that the axon photos are just to throw us off the scent. They are appearing at random in place of some of the photographic images, but there are corrupted versions of the actual images!

REPEAT - AXON PHOTOS ARE NOT THE CORRUPTED GRAPHICS. THEY ARE EITHER DISTRACTIONS OR PART OF SOMETHING ELSE

It's from the Jabberwocky poem by Lewis Caroll.

EDIT: Ok, I surrender, Oecumenix is just faster than me. Great minds, blah blah blah...

Just in case anyone's stupid enough (like me) to try this with the 11-digit number.. it doesn't work!

Using 'snicker' as the 'vorpal' clue, you always get REKCINCET

On the contact_me page SP says she put up pictures of her "valentines" to annoy the Queen. Don't think theres any puzzle involved with the axon pics.

From the image with the four clips of writing, the last one is

Her Majesty's ship Beagle, a ten-gun brig, under the command of Captain Fitz Roy, R. N., sailed from Devonport on the 27th of December, 1831.[/b]

EDIT: They all seems to be from The Voyage of the Beagle, by CHarles Darwin.

farnsworth-window - amblyrhynchus

http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/information/Amblyrhynchus_cristatus.html

marine iguana from the Galapagos islands

from http://www.bartleby.com/29/

AFTER having been twice driven back by heavy southwestern gales, Her Majesty's ship Beagle, a ten-gun brig, under the command of Captain Fitz Roy, R. N., sailed from Devonport on the 27th of December, 1831.

and probably more, of the Amblyrhynchus—a genus confined to the Galapagos Islands. There is one snake which is numerous; it is identical, as I am informed by M. Bibron, with the Psammophis Temminckii from Chile.

...still searching for the other two pieces

Some of the text is wierd this time. I brought up the original beebackg.gif and the new corrupt one in Ultracompare and the only real difference was the following text:

viybyubh fieb

Not sure if it means anything yet.
