Looks like we can likely rule out inHABITation as the cause of the sigma radiation.

Yup! So now the question is, does the sigma radiation adhere to whatever soul/essence/spirit connects the Hybrids to the EMH4, or are the Hybrids physically of Candleverse substance? Have we considered a changeling/cuckoo's-egg hypothesis?

Of course, the resemblance between Jeff and Alex suggests that the connection is more spiritual than material, but I thought I'd throw the other possibility out there just in case.

Called it.

Good to know Steph is about.

I think we may indeed need to open a lot more communication with Alex, assuming that is remotely possible which I am not convinced it is. If he is the only one without this stuff in his bloodstream or genetic material than he may be the only anchor in the flood, so to speak.

I would test Noah and Jessie as well.

Should we get Noah tested while he's in town?

And what about Jessie? There's no Jessie in the cycle but she is related to Corenthal.

EDIT: Dammit qaqa you beat me to it.

The reason Alex doesn't have any sigma is most likely because there's no Alex in the cycle.

Honestly, I'd probably make like the Antarctic observers in The Thing and test every man, woman, and child in a 50-mile radius. There could be sleeper agents, don'tcha know.

I exhausted my supply of Thing jokes when Sigma came out, sorry. And I'm writing some stuff.

...Well, I'll work on some more.

My bet is that both Noah and Jess will test negative, if only for logistical reasons within the two series, and I just don't see it happening with Jessie. But it's worth knowing, and if Jessie is negative that means you have two controls, her and Alex.

If you need inspiration, drink an ice-cold Coca-Cola. Because Things go better with oh god I'm old.

Maybe we should see if we can find out exactly where Mrs. Dr. Corenthal lives, in case "down south" happens to be in Noah's neighborhood. If we're going to be smushing worlds together, we might as well have him check in on the nice little old lady full of secrets.

This is a seriously wild speculation/ shot in the dark here, but do you think they still have the note from Lambertville? The mysterious "Cops Checked, No Body" note the girl was holding? Vince said there seemed to be blood on it, it might have been the girl's. And if it is there and available, perhaps we can confirm Lyn/Linnie as the dead body by testing for sigma radiation...?
(Am I getting lost somewhere, it was so long ago...)

I have asked them to check on that old bag at least twice in the last six months. Either it's not something they can do narrative-wise right now or I just have an ugly face.

I was going to mention Linnie, too - I think she may test negative, alive or dead.

Linnie is from the original Rake pasta.
She probably has nothing to do with Slendy at all.

She is from the pasta, but she's also been mentioned in Corenthal letters.
Totally worth a shot though. Either result would cast an interesting light on who the "players" are in the iteration theory.

Hm. How many ships have you launched?

I think Mrs. Corenthal is probably a narrative dead end, but with the involvement of a genuine Floridian they have a great opportunity to drag her back into play, even if it's just through an off-screen interview. Or an off-screen discovery that her apartment is now a burned-out husk, I guess.

At least twice. But that was months ago. Anybody wanna take a shot, maybe you'll get a different result.

I would expect her fate, at least, must come into play again at some point. She was intimately connected to all four kids plus the doctor. She must know something. And the Rake or Slendy or HABIT or all of the above have been offing any adults with links to Slendy's chosen targets for years. She is a hell of a loose end.

ETA: ....fuck you, I just got the "launched a thousand ships" joke, it's been a long day.

I agree. And...okay, this is terrible, but considering the Doc apparently shows up in the Ark from time to time, if she does end up being dead Noah should see if he can grab a blood sample. For science.

Well other then the whole inHABIted doesn't equal radiated it looks like Steph is okay.

I saw some people say they think she got retconed Slender-style (like the whole escape from the hospital affair).
