Echo riddle is on Grace's blog. You got it ^^

There's a Christopher Moore who writes funny scary stories too. Water waxes and wanes... possibly the moon, possible high/low tide. I doubt there are many pine forests in Vegas, so she's probably going to have to leave soon enough anyway. Grand Canyon? Has the Colorado river been having issues?

I found the Christopher Moore Canadian history author because googling "echo" and "water" brought me Echo Beach, Ontario. So I wondered if a Moore had any strong ties to Canada.

Colorado river running dry according to a 2010 national geographic article?

Not his own, but the Vagabond does: http://ilballodifortuna.tumblr.com/

That's him! He's hilarious. Boyfriend has most, if not all, of his books. I'll see if he knows anything about Fool.

Grand Canyon occurred to me because of the echoes, mostly, and the water that carved it.

I was looking through the comments and Derek's blog, and Grace mentions "House of leaves, and Game of Thrones were good reads. I don't know about the rest"
As we know, House of Leaves was important so far. So I'm guessing Game of Thrones will come into play. Care to research?

Well since the water carved it by ebbing and flowing, it could in essence be all we need. Echoes makes sense with the grand canyon. So do shadows.

There's a Benjamin Moore paint called "Grand Canyon Red."
The Grand Canyon University has a golfer named Brandon Moore who qualified for the US amateur championship a few weeks ago.

I'll do it. What's the worst that could happen? Not like she's going to go somewhere she's not supposed to. We've pretty much seen that.

Random nerd moment: I get excited when they answer my questions. I've had like three, even though they lead nowhere. >_>

Anyway. Has anyone actually read the House of Leaves? Is it possible that they're taking more from it than just letters and phrases? Moore might be a name inside of there.

Edit: That blog we got the beef canoe from? Also has entries on the other fears, including the Jester. Also, that book the House of Leaves? The guy from the Dance of Fortune answered my question about the book and hinted t go ahead and read it. Well, I went ahead and skimmed through the appendix. On the first page that the word "echo" is mentioned, Karen is mentioned. No way is that a coincidence. I'm going to keep looking through the book.

Yaha, Jester would impede her somehow so let's hope for the best and reckon we'll know soon enough. Can't help pondering that an echo is also heard in a wishng well, origin of the word "moore" means wet place & canyons are formed by erosion (water waning). Still wondering about the water both "waxing & waning". Confused

Is "annaz" a player with us? I asked because he/she is the one who asked Grace about Candle Cove. Also, I just found something, and it points to another thing "annaz" said on Grace's blog.

Booba mentioned Cook County, Minnesota, so I started googling. I figured it was a place that might be a lead, but we need a more definite spot than a whole county to send Grace to. Turns out Cook County borders Lake Superior. Lake Superior does have a beach, where the water would ebb and flow/wax and wane.

Then Dia Renalda reminded me of "annaz" most recent post.

"Are we feeling a little Superior?"
With Superior capitalized.

So is this person a player with us? If not, then he/she is leading us to clues and Booba is on the right track with cook county, but where?

Edit: Cook county is also filled with forests, which appear to be pine. Many times a bad guy has lead a person to where they needed to be, just to have them leave and later come back. It's possible this is where Derek is as well?

Edit 2: Annaz is just a player. And is apparently on the same track as us. If he/she isn't one of us. lol. Too many differences in usernames.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
highlight the black box and you get
cheat code: the third word is "big"

Add in Jester's tweet
Congratulations. Bonus Round complete. Your reward: the first word of the cheat code is "These"

Now we have These.... big.

This blog is definitely playing a part here.

Wonderful find Ashe Smile That would suggest number two is out there to be found.

Yeah, the Cook county bit only fits if (a big if)"water waxes and wanes" means Moon Lake, Moon River, Moon puddle or something like that , There are a lot of lakes in Minnesota.

There is Terry Moore who wrote Echo, the first volume is named "Moon Lake" but does't seem to lead anywhere, and has the same "moon" problem.
