[META] Wiki coordination?

If this belongs elsewhere, the moderators are welcome to move it.

Is there any coordination to updating the puzzle pages on the wiki? Someone mentioned that no one had created a puzzle page today in #beekeepers, so I took it on myself to create one. I was a bit nervous, being the first time I'd created a wiki page at Qube, and the page languished for a while.

However, when I went back to start editing -- figuring if I'd created it, it was my responsibility -- it was "busy" being editted. So, I waited... and waited... And when it was finally free, I went in and started adding puzzle clues. Then when I went to save it, it was locked. Someone else was editing.

I'm fed up with it today, so someone else will have to do it. However, in the future, so I'll know better, what's the wiki procedure? Does someone lay claim to the page, update the bulk, and then let bits trickle in? Do people throw up one clue at a time?

Anyway, my apologies to the people in #beekeepers for making more of a mess than helping.

a good example of why a few of us set up the fireflies wiki... but alas, I had the same problems, though a smaller scale, setting up the puzzle page because Clamatius was also making some edits...

that's the nature of the wiki however... with enough skill though, you'll never lose data. conflicting changes are always compared before changing, and data is historic so you can revert... jsut takes patience and familiarity with the wiki software... Wink
