EMH's progression lies in the phrase posted in the upper left-hand corner of this site: alternate reality gaming.
I think the problem a lot of Slenderviewers run into is the misbranding of MH as an end-all ARG before the other, sometimes more interactive, series started.
A lot of good suggestions in this thread, regardless. Good to see some diversified love. :3

Came across this one a few months ago, takes a while to get going but gets creepier as it goes on.

I've personally been playing around with the idea of a video series that follows the "behind the scenes" of a supernatural-themed movie that ends up running into real supernatural stuff (mostly influenced by MH and EMH, minus all the Slender Man stuff) during the course of production. The series would focus on the group of filmamkers/actors struggling to film this while actually being haunted.
Unfortunately, I lack the skills myself and I can't find people nearby who have the time.

I always found TJAProjects really interesting, I also like both TT and EMH. Of course, nothing could ever beat Marble Hornets IMO.

Wow. VERY well done series. I'd recommend it to anyone that needs their own non-slendy-ARG fix.
Curious.. how did you come across this, Feiticera?

Glad you enjoyed it, I found it while googling MH stuff on a review blog that likened MH to it.

Watched the entire Louis Paxton series last night starting at midnight. Very, very interesting and well done. She was a great actress.

Had another search and found a similar thread on Reddit with some good suggestions, and here is another list of horror shorts on YouTube which I haven't had time to check out yet but there may be some good ones there.
