What I was trying to enter was $125. I made a typo, and sent $1,252.

Bidfields probably has some limiting software in place to prevent bids that far out from going through. By the time I backed up and typed in the correct amount, the auction was closed.

IMHO, the software at Bidfields sucks. While bids are coming in, the clock should be reset. No auction should close until at least 60 seconds after the final bid is placed, to prevent this kind of crazed, last-minute scrambling.

And you are still breathing? I would have killed my cat, right then and there, while I was hyperventilating. I thought you were talking about $121.00 being too much. But now seeing it from what you saw....

Wonder what kind of animal hit LazarusLong's keys?

**I now see your post. Let us know what happens. Did your hair go from white to invisible when you saw that bid Wink

Laz lives in the wilds of Montana - lions and tigers and bears, oh my! maybe that bear cub on the porch got too close to the keyboard.

Lions & Tigers & Bears - oh my!

You were right, AD - it was a bear the placed that last bid.

Here's a shot of the Bear. We call him George.

I haven't heard anything yet, who knows maybe Lazarus got it anyway. Cute bear, now if only my cat was the same I might not have aged 20 years, thinking that I raised it that high. Confused
