Zero Wing. It got noted for it's terrible translation. Basically a gradius-type side scroller that involves your typical hostile alien takeover. The leader of the aliens transmits a message saying "Hello gentlemen. All your base are belong to us, make your time." After taking over all the human military bases.

Something like that. The translation was so awful, I could barely understand. It became a huge gamer referance though.

 		Wow, majorly different now.

Veiw of Earth?? from a cockpit with the symbols all over on the screen, and alien controls with a picture of the MC in the center of the screen.

Get translating folks!

 		inner and outer set of rings of screens. toggle between using right pad.

switch between the screens on a ring with the left pad.

Looks like read-outs on earth weaponry, soldiers, covenant stuff too.

 		From what's on the new halo2.com page, it looks like this is definitely convenant writing.

 		inner circle is different depending on what screen you have up on the outer circle when you access the inner circle.

 		I know what the shape is for the letter "M". I can't host the image but I can try to describe it. It's on the pic of Master Chief holding the battle rifle on the left side of the pic.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The large symbols across the middle of the picture read "Body Armor".
The symbol for the letter "M" is a Large full triangle pointing down with two smaller triangles on the lower left and right side of the large one pointing up. There is also one more small triangle right on the top left of the large triangle, this smaller one is also pointing up.

That is a terrible explanation but I can't think of any other way to put it. Sorry.

 		Hrmmm...

Why aren't I seeing this cool stuff?

All I get is a funky looking screen that I assume is LOADING (a sort of warp speed effect and one triangular symbol inside two consecutive ovals with some other symbols).

It doesn't seem to get past that.
