 (OOG) What do you want them to do differently for Season 3?

^NOOOOOOOOOOOO. The series has established itself as basically a semi-interactive video series. It wouldn't quite fit to make it a full blown ARG out of the blue.

I don't really want them to change the style. I only want them to start out strong, and keep it going til it ends. None of the herp derp three weeks breaks we've had throughout the season.

MAYBE a change in the Entry -> TTA video -> Entry -> TTA Video format. But I don't see how.

If they do it right, I don't mind anything really. Hell, if Jay suddenly becomes obsessed with frogs, I wouldn't care as long as it works.

I couldn't agree more with Rando, besides the length between Entry's, I want Troy and Joseph to keep doing what there doing. The formula works great, why change it.

Remember when Jay would dedicate the several last seconds of each entry to analyzing it, trying to put it in a timeline, and trying to make sense out of it in general? I definitely prefer that to the "Alex sure is acting weird" summaries we've been getting lately now.

That said, I'd also prefer a more scrambled chronological order of the entries.

Aside from that, everything is going very well and I'll enjoy MH season 3 even if none of the above will happen.

Season 3 is going to be the third act of this story, so I expect to see some loose ends tied up and things resolved. I don't want more ARG elements - leave that for EverymanHYBRID and friends. Marble Hornets is a great introduction to the whole ball of wax precisely BECAUSE you can point someone to two YouTube channels and they'll get 90% of the plot, contrasted to having to follow along and look at various twitter and facebook and blahblahblah ladefrickinda.

It would be nice if we had some more "Jay actually figuring things out and acting as an independent character" - he has to leave SOME things unsaid, being a viewpoint character, but lately it seems like he's in a "hm. Faceless guy appears after Alex appears to seek him out. And then Alex is acting weird. HERP DERP WHAT IMPORTANCE COULD THAT BE?" mode.


Plotwise, I'm somewhat curious if we'll find out WHY the Totheark gang (since we definitely have Masky and... other Masky now) is communicating so strangely. I mean, if they're against Alex, you'd think just sitting Jay down and having a heart to heart would be called for. If they think Jay's been slender-contaminated, why even bother with the cryptic videos?

I don't necessarily want every mystery solved. Some things can remain only hinted at, but the "we're just doing whatever to see what sticks" from the first season seems to be biting them a little in the current season. TTA is now an established presence with a goal and probably motive, not just a dispenser of strange outsider art. Plenty of characters mentioned off-hand have vanished without any reference as to why, despite other characters who presumably went through similar experiences showing up. I have confidence that Troy and company can work out something that'll make sense, be appropriately creepy, and hopefully give some resolution, but I do WANT resolution.

I actually wouldn't mind having more ARG elements. If they go the way I think they're going to play it - with season 2 covering the lost 7 months, and then season 3 covering Jay's continued adventures in the present day - it would make a lot more sense to throw in ARG stuff. I mean, at the moment any puzzle Jay comes across isn't really worth tossing out to us to solve because, hey, no point until he's done checking over all the tapes because the answer might be right there.

Either way, I just want them to do a decent, exciting ending which provides resolution without sucking the scares out of the Operator.

I would definitely enjoy more ARG elements out of MH, However I don't think they should be added in the third(assuming last) season. I think the ARG elements are in the TTA videos. In the beginning they were pretty cryptic with multiple clues and puzzles to solve and I think that is where the puzzles and interactivity should come from. Otherwise let the series be what it has been since it started, which is J finding out what the hell is going on and why Alex is doing what he's doing.

On a separate matter I really think it is time to reveal more of TO and figure out what it is or why it is there, or why it affects videos, etc. I know some things have to be left to speculation, and some of the answers we want we may never get. But so many questions have been asked I think it's time for us to get answers, at least in a small part. If season three happens I really think they should end season 2 with something that deals with the ARK, or with an actual communication with TO. I understand that that is preety much impossible at this point because of, well...his Slendyness and its' effect on cameras. But I would love for something like walking into the forest, and then turning the video back on as J or Alex is walking back out with TO in the background. Something to push the narrative along besides the occasional "Oh NAO its TO RUN...and grab a clue on your way out to progress the story!!"[/sub]

Something to consider for the break: perhaps Jay could update his twitter every now and then before Season 3 finally kicks in.

I want to be scared, a lot. I think that season 2 has a better plot but season 1 was scarier, although the scariest moments for me have been in season 2 with the exception of entry 26 which really freaked me out (the second time I watched it actually) But I was always looking for the operator in season 1, or something, even when there wasn't anything there. I'd like to return to that mindset.

I definitely don't want it to become more like an ARG. I like the movie/series feel of Marble Hornets, and I think they're really good at what they're doing. I don't see a reason to change it. But yeah, I would like to see more tweets.

I want Brian and Seth's dead bodies on screen so we can finally be done with that.

Other than that, I'm going to agree with some more twitter activity. ARG interaction (such as EMH) probably isn't necessary at this point, and I think it would break the pace of what has occurred so far. Twitter and such isn't a bad thing though.

Although a Livestream with Jay (and any other logically available characters) would be pretty damned cool.
