As a follower who's in it primarily for the creepy factor, not the game, here are my recommendations(endorsements) so far:

Marble Hornets (MH)
Score: 9/10
Wiki: http://marblehornets.wikidot.com/entry-1
Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/MarbleHornets#p/u/48/Wmhfn3mgWUI
Twitter: http://twitter.com/marblehornets
Awesome all around. Very solid, from Entry #1 to present-day.

Dark Harvest (DH)
Score: 7.5/10
Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/DarkHarvest00#p/u/27/MwWf7vLvQn8
This one has some slow parts and truly some amazing parts. Some of the best acting I've seen in a Slendy vlog (admittedly, some parts are amateurish, but still good for a SMVlog), and the characters' relationships are very believable; they really draw you into the story. Make sure you watch at least 12 entries before judging this one

Photofugitive
Score: 7?/10 (still early, hard to say)
Twitter: http://twitter.com/photofugitive
Tumblr: http://photofugitive.tumblr.com/page/16
Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/photofugitive
This is a Twitter/Tumblr/Youtube mix, highly original, very gripping. This one has the potential to surpass MH on my list of favs. Still new, though

MLAnderson0
Score: 6/10
Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/MLAndersen0#p/u/21/sj7MPPpd9yI
Strong acting, overall, while some parts are hard to swallow. This is a strong series, but pretty low on the creepy factor (lots of emphasis on interpersonal relationships, back-story, etc. Little to no originality or ingenuity with Slendy placement; expect to see him in every video, usually popping in 3 times or more). Good series, just not scary.

TJAProjects (TJ & Amy Film Project)
Score: 5/10
Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/TJAProjects
Two girls, not the best acting, but the storyline is engaging enough to compensate. Strong camerawork and visuals.

EverymanHybrid (EMH)
Score: 5/10
Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/EverymanHYBRID
Decent acting, interesting setup, but ultimately I feel like it's just a wannabe MH. Most of the Slendy appearances are dreadfully predictable. This is an entertaining series, and it's no surprise that it's considered one of the best, but not creepy whatsoever.

TribeTwelve (TT)
Score: 4/10
Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/TribeTwelve#p/u/26/aBpDRPlPR4I
The camerawork and effects were brilliant, but the piss-poor acting and redundant, drawn-out monologues finally pushed me over the edge. Watching this series was a rollercoaster; the action sequences and special effects had me on the edge of my seat every time, and they deserve credit for that. However, as soon as someone tried to act (worst fake coughing I've ever heard; almost as bad as their fake laughter), it was instant flat-line for me. These guys just can NOT act or write a half-believable script. Way too much talking, and horrible delivery. Way too many actors (by this point we've certainly met every living relative of Milo or Noah, and had to listen to their 10-minute speech on what they think is going on). Not every single detail needs to be verbally explained to the viewers ad nauseum. And while I normally don't have any issue with profanity, you can only use the word F**k maybe seventy times a minute before it loses all meaning. Ultimately, still a good series, but the bad parts were so bad that I couldn't handle it. With about 60-70% less talking, this vlog would have been truly stellar.

5Zer02
Score: 4/10
Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/user/5zer02#p/u/30/gYRZEQaD_1Y
This series wasn't terrible, and didn't fail in any specific way. It was just rather poorly done all around. The setup was unimaginative and poorly done (first few videos were hard to sit through). Their first few story-relative video was bogged down with "dead" segments of tape where they showed lots of aimless fast-forward hiking with no sound for minutes at a time. The audio and video distortions were clumsy and difficult to witness, and they tried to give important information through the distortion, so I was forced to rewind several times to try and see what they were talking about (this didn't seem at all like it was intentionally done that way; just lazy editing). When they finally realized that dead air is bad, they added music to the fast-forward segments, but rather than take the time to add it the right way, they just dropped a music track into the background of the entire video, which made the "live" segments sound really crappy, and took away from any feeling of reality that may have been present. This was followed by multiple entries of pointless, poorly-delivered monologue. It does get slightly better from there, but I never felt like it really took off. Ultimately, not a terrible series, but nothing really good here at all. The whole series felt very much unpolished and haphazard.

Alternate Purpose vlogs: (not for people seeking chills and thrills)
HisCollector: (Seems to be primarily focused on the game aspect; clues, puzzles, etc)
MyDarkJournal: (Seems to the all "Response" type entries, from the perspective of a minion {ie; Totheark, Masky, etc})
The Master Theorem: (Cool site, not Slenderman related. Daily Brain Teasers, Puzzles, Games)

Just plain unbearable: (couldn't make it through more than 3 entries, because they were incomprehensibly awful)

I had a very long and detailed entry typed up. Then the internet ate it. Can't be arsed to go to that much effort again.

Top tier:

1: TJAProjects. Highly under-rated series.
2: EMH. Could tie TJA if they updated more often and were easier for someone coming in late to catch up on.
3: Tribe 12. Started derivative, became it's own thing quickly. Like Noah more than J.
4: Marble Hornets. Well done visually and thematically. Not fond of J, very little personalty. Not really sufficient to carry the story on his own yet practically the only character. Least interactive of all the established series I watch.

Showing Promise (Mostly relatively new series)

5: His collector. Showing signs of learning from the mistakes of Angels Game. If done well could expand the top tier to 5 (probably taking third and bumping down TT and MH).

6: I like trees. Just starting, very few videos and even those are only found by cracking codes. Difficult to explain why I like it so much without massive spoilers.

7: 5zer02. Wish I could rate it higher. Acting could use work in some spots, some editing decisions (like the fast forward effect in some early vids) leaves me a bit cold. If you like TJAProjects you'll probably like it, just not as much. Also should probably watch it if you watch TJA because of how tightly related they are.

The rest:

doingJACKALL, One Bad Dream, and DoctorKAReeves. I'd say these all tie for last place. They aren't bad mind you or I wouldn't be following them. What they are is just starting and in many ways derivative. But so was my number 3 choice when it was just starting.

doingJACKALL has shorter videos than most but they do pack a bit of punch in them. One Bad Dream has an interesting start with the protagonist finding odd pictures on his brand new computer, pictures that like the proverbial phone call, came from inside the house. Another character is the last survivor of a fire at a boyscout camping trip, and we all know who likes fires, right? DoctorKAReeves, I liked it more when I thought he might be an unwitting Proxie but then it turned out the early videos were him pulling an EMH, intentionally creating Slenderman related videos and then oops the real one showed up. One interesting thing though is his laptop's anti-virus kept going off every time there was video distortion, seems his laptop could detect Slenderman. I want to re-iterate, these last three entries aren't bad, and I think given time to develop they might become good or even great, but they need some more time to get on their feet and get past the early derivative stage. If they don't I'll probably drop them but I have confidence that they can.

redwulf25_ci, I'm glad you mentioned "I Like Trees". I had previously checked it out, but I didn't give it the time and attention it deserves. Upon further inspection, this looks very interesting. I'm sure I'll be adding that to my list soon.

1. Marble Hornets/EverymanHYBRID - They're now tied for me. I think MH began to falter a bit midway through Season 2.
2. TribeTwelve. Really excellent.
3. MLAndersen0
4. Dark Harvest - I'd like to note I originated the term HARK DARVEST, Herc Dervish and various derivatives, but came to really find the series wonderful as they improved exponentially. I still consider their Log 14 2-parter to be among my top 3 or so Slendervideos, ever.

Promising contenders: 004Steps, A Pretentious Collection, doingJACKALL

I'd make MLA/DH a tie too if I was feeling saucy. But I already totally cheated. And I haven't watched TJA/5zer02 yet. Sorries.

Edited because I just realized I've done this thread twice. Oh well!

Decent acting, interesting setup, but ultimately I feel like it's just a wannabe MH, and the SM appearances are dreadfully predictable. I stopped after about 15 entries.

If that's the case, then you missed out on what makes it great. It's far more than just Slender Man showing up.

Hell, I'm trying to remember if 15 entries was before or after the big reveal about why the early Slendy appearances were so crap.

Personal Favorites:

Dark Dream Chronicles (not quite sure if it could be classified as a vlog... It has a Youtube and there are videos, but it mostly revolves around Mibbit chats, Twitter, and several other interfaces)

The Angel's Game, HisCollector, APCollection (I don't care what anyone says, original AG had some bad qualities, but it was still good IMO. Not to mention they're improving quite a bit, now)

TJAProjects (These girls just know how to make your emotions run high)

Other OSM Vlogs:

MLAndersen0

EverymanHYBRID

Marble Hornets

TribeTwelve

5zer02

I feel like a hipster or something. -Not really into the top 3 like she used to be-
I love them still, but I don't find myself anticipating updates and spazzing when it happens as much. Also, I really wanted to put MLA0 into personal favorites, but I thought the list was too long. D8

I was thinking how I'd rank these myself, and I think I have it set as such. Considering I only watch five, it's not a big list. :c

Top Tier
Best Of The Best.

1. MarbleHornets: Pretty much the standard. Even those who think it's eh have to admit that it's essentially what others are going to be judged on, and that's not just because it was first. It also happens to be quite enthralling.

2. MLAnderson0: Yeah, I'm putting this above TribeTwelve and EMH. I'll explain those later. I watched the first videos up until "Curtain's Up" (Which is when I finally got on board), and I was hooked. When I see an update from them, it's very similar to when I see one from MarbleHornets. The acting is more than adequate, and the protagonist is something different from the others.

Mid Tier
Average. I can go without watching it for a day, and not think much of waiting.

3. TribeTwelve: Quite like MarbleHornets, but it got better. Some of the updates are hard to wait for, and I find I don't look forward to this one as much as the top two. It's not as though I'm disappointed when it's absent for a while. Put it that way.

4. TJAProjects: It's alright. I don't find myself as engaged as I am with the top two, and I think it's becoming a tad difficult to follow. In that, with all the things that are not Slender Man getting involved, I'm sort of disappointed. However, this is far from a knock. They do good work. I just didn't expect a dude with a plague mask to show up. ._.

Low Tier
Not Awful, but... I can't be bothered.

5. EverymanHYBRID: LOVED the premise. Confused as hell as to how it got to where it is now. I kind of JUST want to watch video to keep up with the story. With MLA0 and MarbleHornets, I feel like I can keep up with them without having to visit a blog, and another two channels, and so on. Not to mention the various box videos. I love the main guys. I loved the initial idea, but then it got kind of convoluted. I did consider discontinuing my subscription, but I don't see why. I enjoy the videos. I just don't look forward to them is all.

Honorable Mention
Because They Deserve It

- compileTRUTH: Very cool compilations and some other miscellaneous stuff.

- MarbleBumbleBees: "The following clips include heavy distortion." This is followed by a guitar being played. Slender Man tosses a cassette tape that plays "Gimme 20 Dollas" into the guy's seat... Then he's seen dancing to it. Watch it.

First off, people who only watch the beginning videos of TribeTwelve, not the later videos, and just stop watching because they dismiss it as crap are just idiots with no attention span or understanding of what the series started out as and what greatness it has transformed into. Confused

1. TribeTwelve - Ignoring the shortcomings of their modest beginnings, the series has compelling story, amazing effects, props, actual scares, better acting in later episodes, and seems to pull it off awesomely in an unconvoluted, tasteful way that's easy to follow.
2. MarbleHornets - The original. It has interesting plot, mysterious characters, and great effects to boot.
3. MLAndersen - Long shots, best acting in any of the series, great character development.
4. EMH - Awesome characters, convoluted story, yet intriguing ARG elements.
5. DarkHarvest, TJA, and others.

For myself the best are the following:

Marble Hornets and Tribe Twelve. Marble Hornets needs no intro.

Trible Twelve does include some horrible acting at points, but the story is relatively good, the appearances of Slendy interesting from the beginning and recently interesting twist with the speaker.

TJ and Amy is decent, but is becoming plagued with a too-deep storyline that can lose your interest.

UnearthTruth i think is taking a nice dive into the alternative of the genre, not with a Slenderman but other ghost like villian. I'm enjoying that so far.

Others i'm occasionally checking for updates are:

Dark Harvest-A Plus for effort on this one.
EminentDirectory-Decent so far, has slowed down slightly.
NewKidVLog-Suffers from too much "in your face interview time" but not bad.

Unwatchable-Unbearable:
EveryManHybrid-Tries WAY too hard to be an ARG and unless you are obsessed the storyline is so unfocused it's hard to even watch the regular EMH youtube videos. Great start for this series, but now too deep in its own bullshit sideline stories to be saved. Evan going after Slendy with a bat was the highlight of this series however.

Outsideagents-Yikes. It's one thing to be camera unfriendly but include terrible cover songs too? Also way too much webcam interview time.

DoctorKareeves-Again, get the damn camera OUT OF YOUR FACE. 90% of your videos shouldn't be your face rambling into the camera.

Of the problems I have with that one that's not one of them. At least when you get someone talking into the camera you don't need Dramamine. It actually looks like its on the verge of growing the beard at this point. We'll see if it grows the beard properly or decides to shave in the next few updates I think.

Another one that was at the bottom of my ratings, One Bad Dream, has just tonight added an antagonist with a creepy and some what original new look. That one also looks posed to take off and develop into more than what it started as.

Top Vlog List
List your favorites

1. Marble hornets, nuff said

2. Tribe Twelve, Awesome effects, cool antagonist (Obsever), and right now my immersion is highest there.

3. TJ and A, Most real charecters in my book, cool plot, and terrifying antagonists.

4. Dark Harvest, Almost beat TJA, but I am not as connected to the charecters as I am TJA.

5.MLAndeson, Great acting, but lackluster plot, and weird antagonist.

6. Everyman Hybrid, Great start, and awesome production values, but lack of updates, and convoluted plot make it hard to enjoy.

I'll get a lot of hate for putting EMH last, and I love EMH, but I am not a fan of the style.

My reasoning?

Marble Hornets is the original vlog, but even without that, it is scary as hell, and has traits that so many Vlogs stole afterwards. (Distortion, Creepy guy who sends cryptic messages, Guy gets paranoid and starts filming himself, the idea of a symbol for the vlog, etc.)

TT: Great effects, and a fucking awesome villain. What else needs to be said?

Dark Harvest: The story really pulls you in, and I like the idea of Slendy's follower, who is a member of a cult.

JAF: Started it all. Nuff said.

EMH: I like it, but I dunno, it still ranks pretty low. Its convulated plot can be a turn off, and it can be extremely narmy at times.
"OH GOD SLENDY IMMA KILL YOU WITH A BAT OH WAIT NOW IM POSSESSD"

Oh yeah, and number 50 is H(a)unting. It gets a -15,000 out of 10.
