 		I just re-watched the entry again, and I realized something (that I probably should have the first time, but oh well): Alex isn't taping himself. Forgive me if I'm wrong, but Alex has been taping himself too, but I didn't see a camera in this entry.


Sorry if this has already been brought up already, I've gone through most of the pages, but don't remember seeing it.

 		ya, Alex has stopped filiming himself 24hrs/day.
Which is curious, and is probably something we are supposed to notice.
Something has made him decide to stop bing so ocd.

 		Not to be negative about the "alex stopped filming thing" but he wasn't taping himself either in Entry 35 when he met jay in the abandoned building.

No longer fears the slenderman? Or, this is the first time we've had occasion to see him on film without filming himself.

Seriously think about it. We've only ever seen video of Alex being video'd. The alternative being...?

Yeah, was about to point this one out myself. He seems to have been fairly rigorous about it (I mean, he had the chestcam and everything when he came to meet Jay at Rosswood and he had the camera running when 45 happened), but for the last two entries he seems to have just... stopped.

My theory is that it's a sign that Alex has gone completely over to being controlled/manipulated by the Operator, to the point where he no longer fears TO. The filming seemed to be a behaviour Alex resorted to in his original investigation due to a mixture of paranoia and, later on, memory gaps.

Then Jay started doing it - perhaps because it's a hardwired symptom of Slendysickness, but more likely because he got the idea from seeing Alex doing it in the tapes and was starting to feel paranoid enough to do it himself. (Evidence to support this: Jessica has bad Slendysickness in the first entries of this season, and she wasn't lugging a camera around. Nor was Tim, despite the fact that he seems to have one of the worst cases of it.) And then Jay's tampering and the events of Entry 26 drag Alex back into it again; he's not taping himself in Entry 35, but perhaps after that Entry he started down the spiral of paranoia again, so he started filming again fairly shortly afterwards and rigged the chest-cam up.

Why would Alex stop recording? Because he's no longer interested in investigating. Because he no longer feels any need to capture the Operator on film. And, perhaps, because he no longer cares to remember the things he does. "All I can remember is on these tapes", after all. No tapes, no memories. No memories... no guilt?

 		I know the entry 35 thing may seem weird but Jay still had his camera. So there was still someone always recording. I don't think that ones like the more recent ones.

 		I would like to say that Alex was not filming himself for fear of Slendy, but actually for Slendy. As in it being a way for Slendy to see people, or the actual faces of the masked ones. (Who we all assume wear masks to hide from ppl/slendy/face recognition programs/etc.)
But this would not work at early stages of MH unless Alex was always with slendy.

So it would seem that after 45, Alex decided it was unnecessary to be on tape 24/7. why? not sure...
Actually, chest cam was used to tape events alex did not remember, or have control over. What happened to this chest cam? and that is why Alex is not filming himself, because ever since whatever happened after 45, Alex has been slendytranced. (without chest cam)..
just another guess.

 		Gah! I wish I'd noticed that.

I'm still in on the theory that Alex is somehow on The Operator's side, and the cameras somehow hurt or weaken TO, so he doesn't really want to do that. I think he just doesn't want to tell Jay that it hurts TO, because he doesn't want Jay to have any kind of power over TO.

BTW, has it been proven that Jay isn't a masky when he sleepwalks?

Well there wasn't anyone recording while he was driving to the abandoned house + on the walk toward the house. If he's that paranoid, why wasn't he filming then? For that matter, why does he assumes Jay is going to bring along his camera and film the thing? I'm sorry to be such a spoilsport but there's still a chance that it isn't all that significant.

The main problem I have with the theory is that it would mean there almost isn't going to be any more entries of footage that was filmed by Alex.

 		Remember: Alex started filming himself because he noticed that the Operator seemed to be following him, so he wanted to capture him on tape as he had no idea what the Operator was. (Kind of a "gather evidence for research" idea.)

Now, Alex has no need to do that. Either he's got all the answers he wants or he's fully-corrupted.

Jay and Jessica end up finding something, maybe Amy. Alex and TO get involved and then Jay and Jessica end up losing their memories. The next day, Season 2 starts. So, what do y'all think?


It's worth noting that in the present day, we have NO IDEA where ANYONE is, or even if they are alive, except for Jay.

Alex: Could have escaped Slendy. Could be under his control. Could be dead.
Amy: No trace of her whatsoever.
Jessica: No idea where she's been since the hotel.
Timasky: Haven't seen him since the hotel.
Old Cast Members (Seth, Brian, Sarah, etc): Well, haven't seen them since S1.

We don't even know where Jay is, just that he's (probably) alive (I suppose it's possible that Alex/TTA hijacked his account after his death and is masking that fact, but unlikely) at this point.

I wouldn't be surprised if season 2's climax is us (and Jay) finding out that Alex is dead.


Been lurking a while and this post made me want to join.

I in fact know that Seth and Mary Kathleen are both alive and well. I went to high school with Seth and when I first saw what I thought was him in season 1 I was like " is that you??" "tell me what happens" and all he told me was that it was indeed him.

As far as theories, you guys are far better at theories than I am.
