The blog's been getting a decent amount of attention on reddit, so I thought it would do well here too. Most of the posts are pretty long, so it may take a while to read from the beginning. However, the girl writing it has been responsive to reader questions and e-mails and stuff, which sort of makes up for having to dig through all of the other posts.

I was the one who posted this on Reddit, where it's gotten a fair bit of interest.

Someone posted this thread on Reddit, so I figured I'd sign up and fill you guys in on what's happened so far! I really think it's interesting and super creepy so far. I'll give a super abridged version of what's happened:

The girl (Esse) first started out posting about her dreams and how she was having a hard time sleeping.

She decided to start a dream journal. After a hard night, she woke up and found some random symbols in her journal she didn't recognize. They ended up being Runes which, when translated, told her to "listen" in the "dark."

She took this as recording herself sleeping at night. So she set up her computer to record. The first night she played back the recordings which had some odd sounds in them which ended up being SSTV. Now, 4 nights in, each night has had an SSTV message in it. Here's all of them:



As far as we can tell, Slender Man seems to be pointing at something, presumed to be Esse's boyfriend Seth. It's speculated that he's saying he "Owns" Seth. Also the final image has runes at the bottom that say "Run."

And this is a new sound image, but I have no idea how to convert these. (I can't seem to get the program to convert them correctly.)

Any ideas?

I should look around here and find more stuff like this. Just wish I was more adept at figuring out these puzzles. >_<

I'm really curious what they are going to do with Eridanos. It seems like it's building up to a climax.

Agreed on the recording - that was weird. I managed to reverse the bit of audio at the end, but don't have the time to upload it right now, though I'd definitely say try to listen to it: there's a lot of hysteria and something about a "knife", which makes me think Esse may have gone off of the deep end a bit.

I disagree, I love the ARG quite a bit. But what I love about this is that it seems to be doing a great job balancing the ARG with the Story. I just wish more people would get involved with the ARG so they would be solved faster (or at all, in some of the cases.)

I've been really pushing it on reddit, trying to get people involved, but I can't seem to get other people into it and as passionate about it as I am. I really hope more people get into it soon.

That reference I made before to thinking the Eridanos bit is a red herring, I take back.

I'm really starting to think this is, as you all stated previously, an ARG and that the like needs to be solved before the count down ends. Or something of the sort. There is definitely unsolved code (unless I'm just not up to date on this) and there is definitely a count-down. Not sure what else that could entail, really.

I'm glad the whole Eridanos ploy brought me into this blog because it's becoming interesting- either as a stupid mistake or as a plot.

It's pretty obvious the author killed the Eridanos person in that really long two part journal.
