I like that. Is there the possibility that more than one exists? Think of it like this: They look similar and have similar abilities yes. Charles Manson and I are both about the same height and can both grow a beard. Charles want's to kill people, I am an aspiring philanthropist.
Could that kind of difference exist in the mythology?
Also, minor contention point, TTA did have a video called operator but the first time I recall anyone linking the name and the entity was when Alex drew it out in (I think) Entry 44. Correct me if I'm wrong though, please. I just got into the game about 3 days ago and got caught up with everyone else this morning. The website I was watching it on kept calling it the Operator but I couldn't figure out why until 44
.
I could of sworn there was a pic in one of the early entries that say operator on it, but i cant seem to find it. Also I think Troy and Joseph refer to him as the operator in the season 1 dvd

@zarggg Yes but where (before Entry 44 as stated) does it link the entity with the name? We weren't debating the fact that his name is the Operator. I was just stating that I didn't know where everyone got the name prior to my catching up to Entry 44 where Alex drew out the symbol and wrote the name. I assumed one of two things happened there: 1) It was just the decided name like Masky or Hoody or 2) It was in a segment that I hadn't seen yet.

I think it may have been established during an early TTA video...

@Riovas I have not seen the DVD. As I said before, I just started watching the series 3 days ago. Even now though, I think I'd rather immerse myself in the story and seeing the creators talk about it would be breaking the 4th wall for me.

TTA did have a video called operator but it didn't link the name with the entity. I didn't think anything of it at the time.

-shrugs- I guess it was just a cryptic arrow that our brains here at UF figured out...

In Impurity, the word "operator" briefly fades in before the screen cuts to THERE WAS M0:0RE.
In #15, at the final scene with the shadow, you can make out "operator" on a paper in the upper left.

You can find the TTA videos on the tubes without any 4th wall breaking, and I think the operator was referenced first in the TTA video of the same name.
As for the topic, I kind of share the same type of theory with the OP.
I like to think that TO is just doing his usual thing that hes been doing for a long, long time; and that tim/masky/TTA are his current death-cult. This is based on the behavior shown by these guys; while they seem to be reverent and trying to help the Operator in whatever it is hes trying to do (by trying to thwart alex and jay's attempts to uncover the truth) they also seem to be deathly afraid of the Operator. I think this is implied in entry 45 when, while in the process of trying to stave Alex's head in with a rock, they look off camera and scatter to the wind for no apparent reason, but I imagine they saw the object of their worship and were afraid.
Alex seems to be trying to cut some sort of deal with the Operator as well, which suggest that he is open to negotiations, at least of an extra-planar sort, while conversely the masked brigade only act through violence, and any attempt at resoning or conversation is met with grunts and screams.
One can certainly argue that all of them are behaving agressively, but the mask crew are certainly much MORE agressive than the operators general lurking and creeping, which could imply he is actuall the less dangerous of the 2.

I went back and saw the word operator in the Impurity video but #15 was the interview with Tim. I didn't see any shadows, nor were there drawings. Perhaps you made an error? I'd really like to go back and find that one.

I think he's referring to entry 11

entry 14's the only evidence you need. walks into alex's room. he's suddenly bleeding.
he causes alex to go into insane paranoia by drawing him. and when he shows up after awhile in alex's life is the exact moment is girlfriend is missing.
all we have for him not being the bad guy is that he's mysterious and we don't know his intentions.

Again, I disagree. By this point, Alex had already been going quite insane. Yes we saw TO enter his room but then 32 minutes go by before his head is bleeding. Who knows what happened in those 32 minutes? Also, it didn't even seem that Alex was aware of the blood so it must not have hurt him too badly. For all we know, he bumped his head on the nightstand or something.

I'd like to point out that we don't know WHY Alex is bleeding, we're just assuming things.
