 		just because it happened IRL doesn't mean they filmed it actually happening, remember acting is reacting. Stop jumping at it before you've even gotten a real answer from the series creator. And too disturbing? There was a dead person in this vlog series, there was a child abduction in this vlog series, a character ripped out her nose ring. What makes an animal, so much more disturbing than those other things.

It's a slendervlog, grow a fucking pair.

 		Because unlike those other things, there's a chance the dog was actually shot.

(Of course, having just gotten interest piqued due to this, and not watching the rest yet, I could actually be wrong and such things have happened oog)

That and it's common nowadays to hear from people who care little for humanity, but worry over animals.

Its because it happened in real life. And, if I'm remembering correctly, I remember them stating that they filmed it IRL.

Honestly, I was a bit taken aback by the faact that they used this in their series, and I'm a bit iffy on the whole thing. But, they didn't show anything extreme, and it was kind of necessary, since the dog was attacking. I don't think that they grabbed the camera solely for the purprose of filming the dog being shot.

All I hope is that this ties into the series. As it is now, it seems a bit unrelated to the series other than the possible "animals act different around Slendy" thing. If they can actually make this important to the series, then I can look past it. I'm still appalled that they uploaded this, but I can see where they're coming from.

I'm rambling though. Back to lurking!>.>

 		I agree, there wasn't a point for that scene, and it could've been handled better but these are, after all amateur film makers, if this did happen to them OOG, which it did if I read the blog right. Then the most they got out of it was inspiration for a vlog.
And That is not a bad thing, getting inspired to make a movie over horrific events that have happened to you, or in history is not a bad thing. Like Letters from Iwo Jima, fuck a shit ton of great movies based off on real life are great.

and to the people saying there was a dog killed in the video... Source?

It's because we, as people who surf the internet and watch public television, are used to seeing dead bodies, murder and mutilation. Anyone who's watched CSI or the numerous other crime dramas has seen some of the above at least once. We're used to it because we know it's acting. It's not real. And we know that it's never going to be real; NOBODY, I promise you, is ever going to go so far as to film a real person dying. That's breaking the boundaries of morality. When its an animal, such as a dog, we're not used to seeing it (or hearing it, in this case) happen. This is why it disturbs people so much: we're not used to it, because we never experience it, because it's immoral. It's a dog for christ's sake. Man's best friend. People like dogs. It's made even worse because we KNOW that this is real, or it is at least implied to be. Real death is disturbing.

And don't be an ass.

On the other hand, you're right. As disturbing as this is, we should probably calm down, wait through it and see what develops.

 		Okay, watched the video. So, what we know is that Amy's mom is okay, is being taken care of by her boyfriend, and that Amy herself seems to be basically stable. A pretty severe surprise considering what was being hinted at in the dream log entries, but then again, all that stress and fear that TJ was dealing with will fuck you up.

Although Amy seems pretty freaking untouched by her time in the woods.

Pretty convinced that this is the real thing; mostly just because of the OOG Blog. Now, was it a good idea to meld this into the vlog? Eh, I think not, because most of the cast seems to be acting pretty OOC and pretty much most of the tension from the last few entries and the dream logs got trashed by the total mood whiplash going on here.

I'm not going to cast judgment about what happened to the dog. Other than using a .22 is NOT the best idea for shooting a rabid animal. Although its not said here, it's very likely that TJ had Dahlia with her (OOG) and there's no way in hell I'd let a roaming, questionably-rabid animal remain uncontrolled with my toddler around. Do I know whether that was the case? No.
