not sure how to feel about it, but it looks like folks' concerns were pretty well addressed.

so to clarify, since I missed it.

A video showed up on the YT account showing amy & TJ shooting a dog.
The video has been removed.
A new video this morning shows TJ watching the video, claiming she is unaware of it, and its contents.

No, Amy's mother's boyfriend shot the dog and it was off-screen.

My last OOG post concerning this AND back to the story IG:

OOG: They may not have understood quite the firestorm of controversy concerning ther post of "The Dog" video and Aimee did a good job of explaining what happened. Tatianna did a good job in the latest vid recovering the series with "Lost Memory". Great acting on her part in this. I can now return to watching one of my favorite series.

IG: Oh no, TJ lost memory of what happened. I wonder if this was caused by Sight. I also wonder if somehow Amy's Mom is being affected by what is going on or is just protecting Amy and TJ from traumatic events by telling them the dog ran away. Curiouser and curiouser....

*sigh* really? This wasn't even that bad. I've seen worse things on Youtube.

In bad taste? Maybe. Irrelevant to the story? No clue, we'd have to see. Inhumane? No, the dog was dangerous, the police wouldn't show up, Animal Control wouldn't show up and they were probably scared for their lives and the life of the little baby girl in their house. It just so happened to be caught on camera. Whoo. Didn't show anything, and the shot that was shown, guess what? It missed.

These girls are getting crucified for putting up a video just because some people have sensitive natures. What those people are doing in the Slender Man mythos to begin with is beyond me, but you guys need to have tougher skins if you're freaking out over this.

P.S.- I love dogs, I'd be devastated if it happened to my dog, but if killing a dog ensures someone I care about doesn't get infected with rabies or seriously hurt, well then, the ends justify the means. Getting it on camera and uploading it doesn't mean jack. It's no worse than any other idiot that films and uploads stuff like that.

The fact that TJ is losing her memory now, is just terrifying to me. Not sure why, as the latest vid wasn't that scary, but it gave me chills all down my spine. Poor Amy and TJ Sad

Okay folks, here's a rough outline of the "lost" footage from "The Dog" video. This isn't an exact transcript. I didn't know they would be taking down the video and I don't take down notes. This is going from pure memory and will be a little spotty. However, since several people here might not have seen it and the video is now blocked/private/removed, this might be the only way for people who missed it to understand what was in the video:

Quote:

START
There is a black screen warning for several seconds, indicating that while TJ doesn't normally preface their videos, that there is disturbing material depicted and that viewers should be advised.
[It is unclear whether this is written from the perspective of IG or OOG TJ/AMY]

Open on a brightly lit ext day scene, probably the exterior of Lori's house [Lori = Amy's Mom]. TJ narrates that she's arrived at the house and things appear fine.

TJ approaches the house and opens the front door, which is unlocked. The interior is less bright, but not dark or particularly shadowed. The front room is empty and not very disturbed or messy (any more than a normal house would be). TJ enters, calling for Amy, panning around the room

TJ pans to the left and sees Amy, who is sitting in front of a medium-sized window covered by a thin, gauzy curtain. The curtain is translucent and allows in a significant amount of light, so the room is fairly bright and Amy is backlit due to it. Outside the window one can discern the yard and maybe the shapes of a few trees.

Amy is neatly dressed, wearing what appears to be a blue frock. Her hair is combed, and a lock of hair is even pinned away from her face using a metal barette. On the small square table before her are several papers, folder, and miscellaneous objects. A clean, empty, lidded mason jar or preserves jar is also on the table in front of Amy. Amy keeps her hands at her side (or in her lap) the whole time. She does not appear perturbed or manic or otherwise excited such as in the manner the audience has seen her in the woods videos.

TJ greets her and Amy blithely acknowledges her friends presence without any alarm or seeming surprise. Her affect seems only slightly blunted, but otherwise she maintains a pleasant, even tone of conversation. TJ inquires if Amy is okay, and Amy replies that she is - her mother let her back inside the house. TJ seems surprised that nothing is particularly out of order or sinister as in her dreams, so hesitantly mentions that she's come to take Amy back to Illinois. Amy does not seem offended by this but also does not appear eager. She passively agrees to do so. [There is more to this exchange but I didn't catch all the nuances].

TJ's phone rings, playing a silly club or dance hit.

[Immediately as TJ attempts to take her phone out of her pocket, there is about two or three seconds of hiccuping distortion in the video and audio. I tried to see if there was any Slendy going on in the background, but the window curtain made it difficult to make out any definitive shape, I didn't play back to see if anything was obvious]

Amy giggles good-naturedly and marvels that TJ has the song as her ringtone. TJ asks if Amy remembers when they first heard the song. They agree that they both felt it was a great song. Someone [I don't remember whom] suggests that they will head out the next morning.

Cut to interior bathroom, with TJ. The bathroom is much as seen in the "Lost Memory video", and TJ talks to the camera and uses the mirror to frame herself. The bathroom is tidy, if sparse (there are only a few soap bottles* around the sink).

TJ narrates that there has been a dog in the area that Lori and Amy took in because it was starting to get irritable around people and had attempted to attack individuals in the area. TJ says that while the dog was with Lori, it was not noted to be particularly violent. Sometime after the point that TJ arrived, the dog attacked her and latched on to her leg and bit her. It took some effort to get the dog to let go. Following this, the dog was stalking around outside, presumably waiting for TJ or the others to come back outside. TJ mentions feeling trapped inside by the dog and that they could not leave without fear of being attacked again.

TJ pans down and shows her right calf area, there is a bruised and discolored area along the anterior, lateral, and posteriolateral area of the calf**. There is red, yellow, and green/blue bruising and a distinct, if small, laceration/puncture area within the discoloration. The wound is clean, not bandaged, and there is no bleeding evident.***

TJ indicates that Lori's Boyfriend [name forgotten] has come over and indicated that he will take care of the dog, and brought a gun with him. [TJ might say more at this point, but I've forgotten]

[Okay, from here, my memory dims because I was a little too anxious by what people were saying on the boards, so I wasn't trying to commit this to memory. My memory is also a little colored by what has been mentioned OOG on blogs. Sorry folks. I hope this gives at least a portion or a hint of what occurred]

Cut to interior of the house, night. The house is not very well lit, and the film quality has dropped sharply - this footage is possibly from a cell phone camera. The camera is situated across the front room from the front door. Lori and her boyfriend can be seen. The boyfriend is crouched/bent over near the front door with his back to the camera. Lori stands back several paces with a worried posture. TJ and Amy can be heard [I can't remember if Amy can be seen, TJ cannot; I can't remember what they talk about here]. Shortly, Lori's BF opens the door a crack and while kneeling, fires an unseen gun (the report can be heard). There is silence for a moment, and the people present wonder if he hit it.

Lori's boyfriend starts to stand, then quickly kneels again. He appears to struggle to hold the door closed with one hand on the knob while aiming again. There is a terribly whine and squeal from the dog and there is another gunshot [IIRC, the squeal comes in connection with Lori's BF trying to hold the door closed, rather than as a result of the gunshot].

Cut to the exterior of the house, night. Amy and TJ (who is presumed to be holding the camera) are standing on what appears to be a small porch area. A sedan can be seen in the background, although it is mostly shadowed. The porch light is extremely bright, but only carries so far. Amy makes some offhand comments about the movie "Quarantine" and makes some other [apparently nervous] jokes about the situation. They wonder where the dog has gotten to, suggesting that it has been shot at least twice, possibly in the head. At some point, the girls think they hear the dog approaching again [nothing can be seen or heard] and the girls go back into the house. [I seem to recall seeing Lori's BF wandering around in the background, searching for the dog] At some point, someone mentions that the gun is a .22 automatic pistol.
END

Throughout this portion of the video, Amy appears rather lucid, and back to her wisecracking sardonic self. The two appear back to their old selves, as suggested from the Tweets. There's no suggestion of the tension or paranoia that she has demonstrated in the woods videos. There is no suggestion of Slendy-related danger or fear or even significant disruption of Lori's household. Other than the disturbing incident with the dog, the atmosphere is nearly normal.

* Lori uses the same handsoap as I do, Method.
** Hah, I can use fancy medical terminology too. I didn't say that the wound was lightly ecchymosed, but it was.
*** Picture from OOG BLOG; THIS IS THE OOG BLOG, don't go meta. I am only linking because she showed the same wound in the video and this helps illustrate something that was already in the video to begin with. The pics are not captures from the video, though.

EDITED several times for errors or additional details I remembered after posting, also the picture link.

Thank you 12th.

So according to video "lost memory" this is being played out as if it happened IG, however they (Amy & TJ) do not remember it happening?

I too am worried that TJ is starting to lose track of time/memory.

Newb question: Does Amy remember her camping party with Mr Tree?
Im having trouble putting together the vents between videos of Amy in the woods, and her now back home and stable.

Thx in advance for any clarification.

NP, I felt like it needed to be recorded somewhere. Also, it's not exact, but at least the jist of it comes across.

It sounds like they remember some of it, probably up to the events of the evening (where the camera quality changes). What will be more interesting to know is if Lori remembers it occuring (possibly not).

Reconciling the differences between the Woods Videos and Amy as we see her in "The Dog" and as represented in the post-dreamlog Tweets is something of a mystery. I mean, Amy's hair was combed, practically flat-ironed. We've never seen her that tidy (not that there's anything wrong with that™), which makes it seem a little discordant with her characterization so far. This, combined with how she quips and seems able to keep herself from freaking out during the dog incident, suggests that something is awry. Dunno what.

I think there's value to tweeting to TJ & Amy on whether Amy remembers the woods videos or Tree Guy or any of that stuff. Also, should ask TJ if she's getting a rabies shot or what. ALSO: Is Dahlia okay at home?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Also, as seen in the OOG Supernatural Parody video, Amy's sorta put on some extra weight - which is odd for someone who's been living in the woods on underwater nazis fish and rabbits and stuff for...what, a month? Probably irrelevant to the IG events, though. Still, this is unfiction. We like to place high importance on vague, meaningless RL details

Speaking as someone with a serious mental illness, an outbreak of hardcore sanity like Amy's--medication or not--is terrifying, because it usually precedes something horrifying. And that, to me, was the creepiest part of this video.

Thanks, 12th. I did download the video because I figured it'd get deleted, I might be able to fill in the blanks for you.
The first part was essentially correct.
The shooting scene in question:
Quote:
Interior of house shown, camera on the front door. It is night. Two people, Amy's mom and her boyfriend, are standing in front of the door. There is a computer to the left of them. TJ and possibly Amy are standing off-screen. The boyfriend squats down.

BF "It's gonna be loud. Okay, open the door, keep going keep going."

Amy's mom opens the door a crack, turns her head away and rests her hand on her cheek. Boyfriend suqts lower and puts his hand through the crack.

TJ (Amy?): "Can't look."

Shot is fired. Yelping and barking can be heard, but no dog is seen. Boyfriend stands up and looks at Amy's mom, who is closing the door and tilting her head away, looking distraught.

Cut to a different shot of the door and Amy's mom and boyfriend. Amy's mom's boyfriend is cupping his hands against and looking through the door window. Amy's mom is shuffling about nervously. There is a bright blue light shining to the left and reflected on the computer, allegedly the TV. There is a commercial on in the background.

TJ (Amy?): "Is it bad that I'm thinking about Quarantine right now?"

Amy (TJ?) says something in response that I can't make out.

One of the girls (whispering): "Oh god."

Boyfriend is still looking through the window. Amy's mom has her back to the camera and is looking at boyfriend.

BF: "Where the hell is he, he died right here?"

Boyfriend goes to open the door a crack. Amy's mom says something I cannot make out. A K9 advantix ad is heard from the TV. As soon as this happens, a high-pitched yelp and rabid barking can be heard. Boyfriend recoils back in surprise and tries to close the door. Amy's mom comes forward to help him. Yelping continues.

Cut to exterior of house, possibly a porch of some kind. The camera is on Amy. A car can be seen in the background. Amy looks at the camera, smiling and stifling a laugh.

Amy: "(?) so gruesome?" (laughs as she says this. TJ giggles.) "Ever since you got here, it's been a day of -- (head snaps toward the darkness around the car and composes herself) oh okay, it's going."

Camera pans to the left. A crossed fence and a pillar can be seen, including some bright lights through the fence.

TJ: "Oh god, I'm just like waiting for it like break out all zombie and attack, (?) 'Hello, Jesus, I'm comin' home.'"

Camera stays on the fence. The sound of a garage door closing can be heard and the garage can be seen closing through the fence.

TJ: "Why-why-why are the lowering the door again?"

Door continues closing and closes as Amy says,

Amy: "I think we need walkie-talkies for this situation."

TJ: "Yeah."

There is a brief silence as the camera continues to point at the door.

Amy: "It's times like these that I actually don't lament... not liking dogs."

TJ: "Did your mom know the door closed?" "Should it?"

Amy: "She must've." (another brief pause) "Shit, you know what I just realized? To open the door you have to be in the garage. That means mom had to open the door.

A shape can be seen moving quickly through the fence. It is clearly animal, small and on all fours. Assumed to be the dog. (Maybe it's just me, but I was getting some Rake flashbacks when I noticed that Shocked )

TJ: "There it is."

Amy: "Poor thing."

TJ pans to the right, possibly following the dog with her camera.

Amy: "What, he's comin'?" (the camera pans and Amy from profile can be seen)

TJ: "The dog just ran out." "Oh god."

Amy: "Oh shit, oh shit."

TJ and Amy get up and start moving into the house. The camera is moving in all directions and it is hard to make anything out. Sounds of a door, maybe an opening screen door, can be heard. Camera goes black. Sounds of slight wimpering (Or possibly meowing) can be heard.

Amy: "He's over here!"

Meowing sounds are heard. There is a cat nearby. Amy's mom says something distantly (perhaps "He's out?"). Amy responds with:

Amy: "Yeah."

Amy's mom says something again, hard to make out (maybe, "Get on the porch"). The porch reappears on the camera, pointing at the fence and post from a different angle. Boyfriend can be heard in the background.

BF: "Come on in, (?) (fairly certain he isn't saying the dog's name here), come here. Come here! Come here!"

Camera cuts to Amy, who is holding the camera. They are still outside, a bush can be seen in the background.

Amy: "That dog was vicious. Bit two people today. Might've been a casualty. Had to be shot. And, uh..." (camera pans to TJ, who is standing with her back to the camera and looking around. Camera flips to the side) "..it has since now suffered at least two shots, possibly three..." (there is a brief pause as Amy's mom and her boyfriend can be heard talking softly in the background. Can't make out what they say. Camera pans and only darkness can be seen.) "Point blank to the face. What kind of gun is that? .22?" (Boyfriend replies) ".22 gun."

Amy's mom: "Automatic."

Amy: "Automatic. The dog's still surviving."

Video ends.

I could probably put the video up somewhere, for archiving purposes, but I have no idea how .-.
