The name of the game (and is it a game?)

Trout me if this was in the forum somewhere but where did "Capture the Flagmonkey" come from? It seems very...silly? I mean maybe theres a good reason for it and I just can't find it but if not I was thinking something more to do with the game, maybe from the game itself? Any suggestions? I read back over Ewan's LJ and the guide looking for ideas and the only thing I could come up with was "Ipsum Nomen Res Ipsa", or INRI.

Also, what is "ARG-like"? I don't think Hephaestus is really in an asylum seomwhere, so I'm guessing its not this reality. Very Happy That would make it an ARG, right?

I'd also like to know why CtFM ? Capture the Flag is a game, and we had one puzzle with flags and a monkey, but color me confused.

Also, to the Powers That Be, isn't it time we got rid of that "Suspiciously ARG-Like But Unconfirmed" label on this forum? I think it's pretty clear we've got some sort of game going on here... We've got a solid guide going and everything now... We deserve a little more respect. With a better name and a better description, we mind get a few extra brains helping with the unsolved Thrice Blood From Blood and Muninn Note puzzles.

I can't think of a good name though. I'm not crazy about INRI. Other suggestions: "Widow's Son", "Thoughtscapes", "Ewan and Munin", "Hugh Inn", "Odin's Ravens" (which is apparently a board game, BTW, presumably copyrighted).

I'm not happy about it being called INRI either, as it seems strange to use a Christian tag to describe a game so rich in Greek & Norse mythology.

'Widow's Son' I like a lot.
