I've been thinking about this, what happened to Slendersickness?

I think it's safe to say that Alex's Super Secret Tape doesn't involve the noentry tunnel. Alex probably started visiting the tunnel on a regular basis after he started wearing the satchel.

The tape must have been recorded prior to the events of Entry #46, but it probably doesn't involve the tunnel. I'm guessing the tape has something on it from Season 1. Something to finally clear up the bullet casing, perhaps? Or maybe something more recent involving the Maskies or Alex's date with the Operator. I dunno.

Bullet casing? Season 1?
Oooohh! I forgot all ABOUT season 1! Laughing

Went through a few frames, upped the exposure, and this is what I got:

Kinda looks like there's two of 'em, one standing behind the other.

But I'm sure it's a camera trick, due to him panning to the left. Razz

Yeah, this would seem to support that there's no double Operator. All of the trees and stuff are all "twinned" because of the motion blur and camera speed.

Oddly, it looks like to me that the Operator is actually facing away from Jay, since it doesn't look like we see much shirt (unless the light blur is his shirt; in which case it goes too fast for us to see his head).

Oh, obvious note. Figure Alex started carrying the satchel since his home wasn't considered a safe place for him to store anything special/secret/preeeesssccccious/etc. Maybe more tapes? Dunno.

Based on earlier HD screenshots, I think it's either a tree or someone in a black hoodie (not Hoody). I'm leaning towards tree, BUT I do notice that it has a possible shape of a person standing sideways to the camera, and something white on top. If I didn't know better (or I was pravado) I would say that it's a particular mask, but if it was Tim, he'd be limping.

tl;dr most likely a tree

I don't see how so many people don't think it's The Operator. You can see distinctly slender black shape, with a split at the bottom suggesting pants and a lighter color at the top. Subtle? Yes, more than he has been this season. But I think it's definitely The Operator, and it makes me happy if they're going to be throwing in more Where's Waldo appearances.

I do believe that it is the Operator at 4:36. It makes sense to have him be there because at first you here the snapping twig and are like "Oh shoot, there's something behind me!" and Jay turns around. Then you're all like "Oh wait, there's nothing there." And then as Jay is turning back around you get a short glimpse of the Operator and you're like, "Oh God, something was there! Did Jay see it? Oh noes!"

Also, I did not believe any of the supposed sightings of the Operator in Entry 47, but here I saw him the first time and seems clear to me that he is there. This will probably end up like in the Entry 47 thread where some people are sure they see it and others for sure do not and we won't be able to convince each other.

It's okay if some feel the proof is strained/not good enough. It doesn't bother me. For me, it really feeds my love of Where's Waldo, but otherwise it doesn't add much to the storyline that hasn't been added before.

I really don't think that was the Operator or that the white shirt person is of any significance. For one Jay doesn't even change his pace when the camera goes right by him, and there's not enough detail there for how close he is. I'm chalking it up to a trick on Troy and Joseph's.

On the other hand, we've seen how Jay reacts to seeing any one in the woods, re #29 when he thinks the guy with the headphones is following him. I think that if he actually spotted this, he would have frozen up and freaked out about it. At this point I imagine that he's all wound up. If it were a regular person, I think he'd have more reason to freeze and then run than if it were the Operator that caused him to gloss over it.

Could be the Operator on low-visibility mode, watching Jay because he is not averse to Jay following Alex. Messing with his head to ignore him, like.

Jay quickly turned around when he heard the noise at 4:29, seeing nothing behind him he turns back around and increases his pace, obviously nervous.

I am willing to bet on the most simple explanation for his lack of reaction to the operator: he did not see him.

This is reasonable considering you don't use your central vision as much when turning your head. More likely his focus was being shifted back to the path instead of the woods.

There has been another occasion when The Operator was filmed on camera but none of the cast noticed him (Entry 19). Perhaps he didn't want to be seen, and Jay just happened to get lucky with his camera. Whatever the Operator does to remain hidden doesn't work with cameras, maybe?

My problem with it is that it's too sublte if it's the Operator. Jay doesn't even acknowledge it and it's onscreen for half of a second. Marble Hornets has a lot of subtlety, but not that much.

I think that they noticed whatever that is while blocking and decided it'd be a cool thing to throw in with distortion.

To those that argue the distortion, remember distortion is not exclusive to the Operator. Far from it.

Also, no visual tearing/distortion of any kind in the entry, which is unusual for one with the Operator. There could be entries with him without any, though, I'm not 100% sure.
