AMCs in "Super 8" movie

Saw Super 8 movie today, directed by JJ Ahbrams (Transformers) and Steven Spielberg. Won't give a review but there at least 2 AMCs in the movie. First one is a Pacer that is parked and gets creamed from behind by a '68 or '69 Buick Skylark (yellow with black stripes) by one of the main character's dad (he survives). Then after the movie, during the credits, the last car in the movie is a '73 or '74 Javelin with the "spear" or "javelin" stripe down the side. Barely 2 seconds but unmistakable if you know Javelins.

JJ Abrams had nothing to do with Transformers. Except for when Cloverfield was first revealed in the Transformers 1 trailers way back when.

AMCs are cars? I don't know.
