 		I think it's Sidenote because he's not responding to the video per se. He's telling Jay shh, remain seated, keep watching, this next bit--oh, it's the best... This is all home movie time for Masky and Hoody.

I think the overlay of Alex isn't to suggest that he IS Hoody, but is sort of a un-silhouette for the sake of emphasis. Like sitting behind a tall guy at the movies, except instead of being unable to see this, they want us to not see anything BUT this, so the rest of the screen is static, and it's just Alex putting on his act. (Hoody's turn and "this is the best part" felt to me like so much, "Did you see it? Do you get it?")

I know the set-up here is more of a style thing than an indicator, but the way Masky leans forward to look at the viewer, the way Hoody turns to look at the viewer, it feels like that whole TTA=on our side/Alex=not on our side thing.

I could phrase that better, but it's 8am. Meh.

 		Hmm... Maybe masky/totheark/whoeverthisis is the same person as hoody?

My theory is that totheark is a group of slendersick people, much like Alex is turning into, and they are trying to recruit Alex, and other slendersick people. Either that or kill them. It's kind of unclear.

I don't think that he's literally a part of the group the entire time. I hesitate to state that he's participating with these people knowingly. He has chunks of missing time with great frequency, and we even see from way back in #19 that Masky shows up, they both disappear, and Jay can't remember anything of the rest of the night.

The way that TTA has treated Jay suggests that Jay is a pawn more than anything, rather than an equal partner in their treacherous shenanigans!

Yeah, I think it's more likely that Jay is a part of TTA during his stretches of missing time rather than being a conscious agent of theirs.

At the same time, I think it's possible he might have consciously joined them during the downtime and then, due to his amnesia, forgot that he had. One of the possibilities I've been thinking about with regards to this season's tape stash is that it might have been deliberately sabotaged - with tapes relating to crucial information (such as Jay being a member of TTA) being held back, so even on reviewing the tapes Jay wouldn't have a complete recollection of what had been going on.

This is a really interesting idea! I had considered the first part of this as well, but not the tape sabotage. It would stand to reason that this is quite possible, though, given the password to the safe was written in TTA-style. It begs the question, what the fffff happened just before Jay woke up?

I wonder if we'll get to see rational conversation between Jay and the maskies, or if they're just so insane that none of it quite makes sense?

 		There's still that period during enttry 37 that Jay was put into some kind of weird trance state right? He was being put to sleep and then he wakes up by the red tower?

The tapes were all still where he'd left them, but whoever did that to Jay might have taken some for safekeeping.

And, if the tape was induced by the TTA gang somehow (hey, if Tim's a member we know they can teleport, who knows what other powers they have?) then Jay might have in fact sabotaged the tapes himself. After all, who'd know better which tapes have information that TTA-Jay wouldn't want regular Jay to have? And who'd know better how regular Jay would react to the tapes that are left behind.

I have a mental image of Jay, Masky and the Gimp sitting around the tape stash with Jay going down the checklist going, "OK, we ditch this tape because it's got one of my conversations with you on it, this tape because it shows us preparing to attack Alex... and I think we should leave this one out, because I don't think I'd react very well to it and it might make me do something stupid."

Then Masky and the Gimp snigger because Jay's always doing stupid stuff.

 		If that's the case, it'd make sense that Jessica would be in on it. Why check in for one night with adjoining rooms and then both seem to forget everything? I think the people who noted that Jessica's probably part of the TTA group are probably going to wind up being right, though I'm still not entirely convinced!

 		Man I can not wait for the next entry. I thought it might have even been last night. I was up till 2 checking.

i'm thinking of looking at past entries and then I think, marathon.

I did this once before and it was pretty damn fun with like 16 something people mostly from here chatting while watching. Gonna do it again. Probably around 10pm EST (2 hours from now). Anyone interested?

 		I don't think ToTheArk is saying that "The best part has yet to come," I think he is saying "The best part is that Alex thinks you've done nothing."

Seriously, if you think about it, "This is the best part" comes up when the distorted voice of Alex is saying "You've done nothing. You've done nothing." Once again, just my thoughts
