I did everything I was supposed to do in the riddle files, but now what do I do? You guys keep talking about access codes. What do you mean? Are those passwords or somethin'?

If you played on Henry's side you dont get any accescodes (at he doesnt tell you that they are and you cant do anything with them).
If you played on the Church's side the access codes are the answers to the morse riddles you have to solve (the ones where you can download the old newswire etc files afterwards and should be put into the white "spybox" in the taskbar)

There are no new communications by Vidal, but the date on idgi1.net's connection screen has changed to the 5th, and it no longer shows Vidal's tweet when you click it. Once again, the date once connected is still the same.

I tried clicking the clock to see if that would do something, but nothing happened.

After that tweet I had looked at the satellite screen which now shows the cords fields active once again. Which I thought was weird. That was before I was just surfing around and found out about a new post on the blog.

Quote:
To all of you who recently became aware of us over the past few weeks: WELCOME! This note is mainly to assure you all that NOW is quite possibly the best time to begin exploring beyond the iDGi-1 Rift.

Despite the large number of posts in our Forums and the significant amount of knowledge we and our users have obtained over the past year and a half, we know that we have barely begun to scratch the surface. Feel free to pace yourself and read as much as you would like about what we have discovered so far – experience everything at your own pace using iDGi-1′s auto-replay feature, and you'll be caught up in no time. If you learn something new along the way, please don't hesitate to email me: vdesertchSPLATinterdimensionalgames.com

Here at Interdimensional Games, we all believe that we're on the verge of some major discoveries regarding the parallel world beyond the Rift. Our recent breakthroughs involving being able to target specific points in time and space in the other dimension with iDGi-1 have spurred us on. We now know for certain that we will eventually be able to visualize the other world in 3D… doing so will require some significant engineering, and some help from the A.I. that lies on the other side, "K-1″. But we have been preparing for this since the Greenberg Device taught us so much, and have laid a significant amount of groundwork in expectation of this eventual ability.

If you are at the point of using the 21 coordinates to dial iDGi-1 to March 4th, 2028, then know this: There are most certainly many more sets of coordinates that are capable of opening a Rift into different places of space and time beyond our own. While we have been endlessly trying many combinations of our own, there are simply too many possibilities….we need to obtain these coordinates from beyond the Rift.

Perhaps you can help us search for them?

So do we have to find the new cords before we continue or after they give us the new feature to fast-forward time a little bit? Not really sure what we're supposed to do.

Hopefully this post means we'll be getting an update soon.

Yeah I had checked this morning and got slapped with that "protected area" like when we clicked on the free link. It would seem that I was correct in thinking that the post was a prelude to an update. They must have been working on it and couldn't get it finished. We'll just have to wait and see now.

Well, it's up again for me.
Firstly, I noticed some small changes in the site, such as your text cursor being automatically placed in the password field, and there being a new Facebook share button.

Next, the date on the connection has changed to the 6th.

However, I got the "protected area" thing when I tried to connect.

So, they're still working on it.

Yeah. I'm still logged in on the other side so that would explain it being locked out when I just try to load the site. Hopefully they just needed to wrap up some small things.

(How ironic the update is on my birthday.)

Happy Birthday to you then! Smile

About the recent blog post and tweets :
I'm quite curious how many new people (besides us from UF) they are currently talking about. I mean, besides here there has been almost no online discussion about the ARG that i'm aware of.
They published a sort of press release anouncing the resumption of the ARG on a few pages (see link collection) but thats about it.
As for the people that stumble upon this thread while researching the site, I can only guess that they are mostly scared of by the fact that the thread has 90+ pages.

Maybe splitting the thread into episode 1 and episode 2 would make it more appealing to newcomers? What do you guys think?

Splitting the thread into E1, Interlude1 (there might be more in the future), and E2 could be helpful for people wanting to get caught up, and for us if we ant to find an earlier event for reference. We could also make a synopsis and getting caught-up guide. (someone who's good at summaries, and has lots of free time should do that. (read: not me))

Sounds like we're approaching the "needs its own board" point. I have noticed that that seems to happen around the 100 pages mark.

What does everyone else think? Am I jumping the gun?

I don't think your jumping the gun Duke. I do agree it would be nice to get this thread it's own forum as it is becoming quite a bit bulky.

Also the site is not under the "protected area" anymore. They just removed the files for the gateway and the file for the desktop so you can't access them either way. Here's hoping they get it back tonight I think it would be rather bad if it was down for another day.

I dont think we need an entire forum just yet. Just a separate thread should do for now imo, since from what I can tell we are only at around 8-10 people posting here at the moment.
I'm hoping that a new, smaller thread would attract more players of course, but until we reach that point, I think jumping onto a new forum would just make it look like the ARG is deserted (to outsiders, UF members would probably check the new forums anyway).
But then again, should we get an entire forum for this ARG, duke's idea of splitting the thread into episodes and interludes would be a great way make things organized and easy to start from zero for newcomers.

Hi there. I've been following this thread for some time to see what other players have discovered in the arg. I've had a problem recently which won't let me continue the game.

After importing the coordinates to the satellite from the Greenburg device, a date appears on the lower right corner of the screen. The first time I clicked it, I was asked to give a username and a password, with the "video" playing behind normally. I didn't know them at that time, so I did not continue. The second time I was asked, there flash player could not load the movie and I was not asked for a username/password. There is just a black screen.

I tried Opera instead of Firefox, but the result was the same. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you in advance.
