My theory: TTA said "This is the best part" alongside the audio of Alex saying "You've done nothing." I think he was referring to Entry 47, after Alex says that, and Jay first starts getting angry at him. So in short, totheark thinks that Jay not trusting Alex is the best part.

i think sometimes we look TOO deep into things

all i think it meant was that what's coming up is the climax

Sometimes, we forget what we've been given. It could mean a number of things, but we tend to forget that TTA wants the audience--whoever it was intended for--to sit and watch what will come. So, for now, we sit and wait to watch. Then, and only then, will we know what's the best part.

I'm pulling Occam's Razor here people.

Jay says he's going to start watching Alex's tapes from that day.

TTA replies faster than ever that "This is the best part."

Then, the very next day, Jay tweets saying that he found something and doesn't want to share it.

TTA obviously knows what happened. He obviously knew what Jay would see on that tape.

The best part is what happened in that tunnel. The best part is going to be Entry 49.

Seriously, there is no need to overthink this one.

Just like when you're watching a movie you really like with a friend who hasn't seen it before, and you get really excited when your favorite part is coming up.
I know I say "Be quite! Watch! This is the best part!" All the time in this situation. That is what TTA is doing.

Oh God...
Of course.
People will make t shirts and posters and gifs, etc. etc.
"Remember Entry #49"
Will it be the next one that redefines the series?
I hope it's shattering.

I think This Is the Best Part can relate to both Alex thinking Jay has done nothing and the stuff that's going to go down in Entry 49 - whatever happens in 49 will make that statement of Alex's seem incredibly ironic.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
To think about it from an OOG perspective for the moment - the way both Entry 48 and Sidenote are put together is clearly designed deliberately to build up hype and anticipation for the next entry.

Yeeeeeaah, I'm seeing very pixely static. Not seeing running water, but I'm still unconvinced that it's just ordinary static.

Brohoof, btw.

Come to think of it, the Hoody turn at :18 in front of the static screen looks like a movie patron sitting in front of you telling you to hush (Be silent), further playing into the "This is the best part" line.

So.... TTA wants all of us to stop analyzing and just watch?

If that's the case, and I think it is from the shadowing of Hoodie, perhaps Alex's face is just representing who he's saying should be quiet? In this scenario TTA could be using Alex's words against him implying that he is the one who made it worse.

Silly unfiction. No no, see, TTA is watching the movie WITH us. You know how he likes old movies? Well, this is an old movie too. That's why it's on a projector. He's used projectors as imagery before, remember? When he turn's towards us to say hush it, this is the best part, he's watching entry 47. It's just the faded projection image of alex.

ps: he likes old movies because he's a film student too. As in, Brian. I solved the mystery. Please go home.

People say "this is the best part" goes right beside the audio of Alex saying Jay's done nothing? I'm too lazy to confirm that, but assuming that it is right, then maybe the remark is a snide comment referring to the falling out between Jay and Alex--i.e. saying that it's like a melodrama, and this is the best part.

More likely, though, is that whatever Jay just saw on the tapes is the best part. Watch for TTA in the upcoming video--whatever "the best part" is, TTA was there to see it.

It could have a dual meaning, it could have a single meaning. We should simply wait, like TTA has told the audience (which is undetermined, although it can mean multiple groups as well Razz).

I think what I'm finding most interesting about this particular video, especially with Alex's face "overlaying" TiMasky's is how Masky acted towards Jay in the previous entries. The first time Jay encounters Masky in the old house, Masky had the upper-hand and could have done serious damage. Then in the episode with the "room recursion" with Jay ultimately ending up in the "Basement of Doom", Masky's mask was hanging on the door, indicating that he was likely there or nearby the whole time. Then in the abandoned house when Jay meets up with Alex, Masky rushes past Jay and at Alex. Jay fleeing the hotel is really the only time Masky seems to be trying to chase Jay down. The rest of the time it seems more like a scare-tactic than a real attack. Maybe the overlay of "THIS IS THE BEST PART" and Alex over-taking Masky could be indicative that Alex is going to be getting more violent as well? That certainly seems like something that would entertain TTA...

I don't even know. This is probably stupid and wrong. D:

I think "THIS IS THE BEST PART", combined with the fact it was uploaded so soon after the newest entry, is saying "HEY YOU FOUND ALEX IN THE TUNNEL AND NOW SHIT IS ABOUT TO GO DOWN".
