Jay took off running and recorded deadman smoking before dirivng away. He didn't see the murder.

Yeah, he didn't know what Alex did after Alex saw him and Jay ran.

 		My main thought when he was killing that guy was, why didn't he kill J when he saw that J followed him to the tunnel? It'll be really silly if Alex is just super unathletic and can't catch the least coordinated person alive (if J's sneaking skills and ability to escape Rosswood in #42 is any indication). Alex must either genuinely like J or J must tie into a later plot point somehow.

 		So that explains partially of Entry 29. So it all leads up to Entry 38's second part, which should be Entry 50. And we thought that last entry was filler. :O

Alex was probably actually talking about Jay, who actually was following Alex at the time.

Also... apparently The Operator treats shirts from people the same way we treat bones from meat. Just eat around it, and leave it behind.

That's what I'm saying, he whispers it. I don't think he would've whispered it if it were to Jay or a mask.

But I will admit that I hadn't considered it being a mask... Still makes the most sense for him to have shouted (like in 45) if he were talking to someone other than the operator though.
