Now that the entry is up, can we all assume that something terrible will happen to Jay within the next couple of days?

Am I the only one who thinks that Jay needs to call the police?

Bruce deserves JUSTICE.

Yeah how exactly are they gonna explain that one? I mean, we all KNOW it's not a real murder, but the point is to act like this is really happening. So since Jay, as a character, believes he has evidence of a real murder, why hasn't he called the cops? Indeed, wouldn't he be mystified that the cops haven't already come to his door, what with the popularity of all his youtube videos?

Indeed. In fact, why Jay hasn't called the police from beginning? XD

Simple.

We worship at the Altar of Science. The supernatural is assumed to not exist.

Occam's Razor stipulates that a hoax is infinitely more likely than an actual supernatural occurrence.

Obviously, IG, the Operator does exist, but to most people, the hoax theory is still more likely from their perspective.

Supernaturalness aside, there's still the matter of being stalked by masked men and having video of a murder, where you can clearly see both the victim and perpetrator.

So, this forum exists In-Game, as naysayers who deny the truth of the entries?

Marble Inception.

I like to think this forum exists as a limbo between the reality of the game and the reality of the rest of the world. Unlike Jay, we can see the reality he must deal with if he decides to act outside the boundaries he has set so far. We seek to help Jay escape/defeat this monstrosity, yet we are unable to actually dive in and save him. We do not advocate "truth" of any kind, we simply argue our brains out the moment we see a rock or wristband. And by doing so, we bring Jay one step closer to... something.

Based on some of the @ replies I see on Jay's twitter posts, there seem to be more than a few people who think all of this is taking place in the present.

One reply to Entry 49's link:

"What if Alex is leading you into a trap? Are you going to the park tomorrow? Unprotected?"

Embarassed Exclamation

Fun fact: People get murdered in movies all the time yet no cops are called. Video evidence does not count for anything these days unless there is physical evidence to support it. What we saw certainly doesn't count.

As for being stalked by masked men, not much the police can do. "Ok, we'll look into it." Maskies lay low. "We didn't find anything, sorry."

What evidence? The Operator took it.

Also maybe there's no investigation because the guy in question isn't missing. Maybe he's a now fine, upstanding member of the community who's always willing to take people on nature walks in Rosswood Park...

Yeah, it's not like there was a bloody shirt or pools of blood or bloody murder weapon just left laying at the scene.

Yeah that confused me. If there was a horroble bloody murder (as seen in 29) why was just a rock left after The Operator begrudgingly cleaned up the body?

Have you ever seen a movie where the characters posted a video of a murder on youtube and no one even stopped by to ask any questions? Yes none of it is real, and yes no one is CONVICTED on video evidence alone, but that this wouldn't trigger an investigation is unlikely. There have been a lot of people who ran into trouble with the law when posting videos of, for example, their kids on pot. Obviously police aren't really going to get involved, but IN GAME police do, as far as I can see, exist.
