I'm not down with the theories that The Operator thought Bruce was actually Jay. There's no way The Operator is sloppy enough to think that for even a second, given that he has been able to pick someone out of a crowd for their entire life. I think Alex is insane at this point, and merely being guided by The Operator, and just killed the next thing that crossed his path in a blind rage.

Having your friends break into your house to eat your day journal tapes would make most film students murderous.

First off: holy crap, awesome entry. This is the first one that's really caught me off guard. Did NOT expect anyone to be killed, especially be someone other than The Operator. (Though perhaps I should have, given Entry 45)

Anyway, this entry really gives weight to the theory that Alex's bitch fit in Entry 47 was all just an act, in my opinion. When Jay accuses Alex of not really looking for Amy (can't remember the exact wording) and Alex started to get *really* mad, I thought, at the time, that Alex legitimately wanted to find Amy and was pissed off by Jay's "unfound" accusation. However, now I wonder if Jay was exactly right and Alex was just trying to throw him off the scent.

Also, IIRC, in Entry 33 Jay finds tapes (with his footage) and a hard drive (with Alex's footage) inside the safe. Could Alex be carrying that hard drive with him in that "satchel"? I don't know how else Jay would have gotten it unless he broke into Alex's house again.

EDIT: Also, I think it's ironic that Alex called Timasky and Hoodie "psychopaths" in entry 47. After seeing this entry, Alex fits the description of "psychopath" more than anyone else.

while this entry was good for theories, i want some answers already. you can only lead someone along for so long without giving out answers to old questions we've been asking

it answers questions about things brought up this season, but how about the stuff from season 1 that we still dont know

hiya hiya ho oog

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
i think we're getting a little confused. stylistically, i think it's pretty obvious that as alex seems to become more and more possessed/under control of/more buddy-buddy with the operator (i don't say TO because I like football and confusing the operator with a wide receiver is confusing and weird) the crew is picking camera angles and different stances that make alex look more like him. like in a movie if a character switches sides from good to bad maybe their eyes turn red for the scene where they switch or their body is shrouded in shadows more. their eye color doesn't literally change colors and they don't prefer shadows on their torso, it's just something stylistically the director chooses to do.

Ok, I got here late. Damn you school. I had a thought though. I'm very sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I can't go through all the pages right now.

What if what Alex wanted to show Jay in Entry 38 was Bruce's dead body hanging from a tree? You know, to show him shit just got real.

Has not been brought up.

That's creepy.

Two things tell me Alex is under control or is being assisted by the Operator:
#1. Distortion during the attack. The video experiences distortion prior to Alex gaining the upper hand.
#2. Alex doesn't gain control of the scrum until the distortion, in which he is clearly fighting someone whom is much larger in stature and Alex is at least 30 pounds lighter than Bruce. Unless Bruce is a super dirty hippie with zero fighting experience or ability he should be at least able to toss Alex off of him and run.

Hey, I definitely didn't think of that, good catch! If he's got the satchel with him when the events of 38 and 29 conclude, it's a logical way for Jay to come into the possession of the hard drive along with everything else that Alex is known to be carrying at all times.

Could the harddrive not just be one that plugs into the chestcam?

A thought occurs:

The message in a recent totheark entry was decoded as "Did you see what he did to the twins" or something like that. There has been some discussion of whether the blood on the rock in #29 was Bruce's blood or another victim. Could totheark's reference to "the twins" suggest that Alex has killed 2 people?

Not reading page after page, I'm sure what I have to say has been said.

Operator didn't think it was Jay, but I'm pretty damn sure Alex did. I'm fairly certain he did the same thing to Amy, and the end of the season will be something along the lines of Alex dying (Operator ends up wiping Jay's memory) Maskies end up going their own ways (thinking Jay is dead) Maybe Tim leaves Jessica (hoody) in the room next to jay to watch him but she forgets everything too (or maybe not, which is why Tim shows up, as I'm guessing Operator appears and eats Jessica (dead now) and Tim rushes to get Jay out (Operator in the room makes Jay teleport past him) and Tim follows, half to try and catch Jay and half to get away from Oppy. Season 3= horrible confrontation that ends with deletion of MH account.

hopefully they can redeem the operator or something. he's lost all creepiness in my eyes. having him do things like this is just making him out to be more of a protagonist than an antagonist. even if it turns out alex/op are the bad guys, i still will look at them as good guys because they're etched in my head that way now. maybe not slendy, but alex definitely is. he could murder jay and it still wouldn't make him a bad guy in my eyes :\

i hope that they're more skilled writers than the route they're going down (alex being a bad guy under slendys influence, slendy protects alex and the maskys are the good guys) because that story wouldn't make me shit bricks personally

i did like big op's tentacle waving around in the background before he comes into frame though

and yeah i always assumed the hard drive came from the chest cam

im only on page 12 of this topic so sorry if this was mentioned, but two things

1) anyone else notice jays response to alex over the phone was weird and delayed?

2) alex picks something up off the ground and puts it to his head after murdering bruce
