[Trailhead] Starfleet Academy - Class of 2012 A link to this website came floating through my IRC channel about two hours ago.
Didn't look like much at first, until...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
I had a look at the source code and decoded the base64.
Curious to see what some of the more tenured players can make of it.

Well a whois doesn't come up with anything outstanding, but the subject matter intrigues me. Lurking time I think.

The answer is a 6-character proper noun. Anyone figure it out yet?

i'm guessing that 62-5-4-1-2-62, which gives us 6 letters when converted to alphanumeric. but all i get is BEDABB, and that doesn't seem to come out to be anything when run through several tools. i'm assuming that the people mentioned in the pictures have something to do with the solution but i have no ideas.

It's less complicated than that. Look for something that those three people have in common, bearing in mind the nature of starfleet. Reading Wikipedia will help.

[spec]von Braun was the designer of the Saturn V booster rocket, and Herchel discovered two moons of Saturn. I thought I was onto something with /saturn.html or /saturn/, but I didn't get anywhere.[/spec]
[edit - spoiler tag saved for actual puzzle solves; and you should explain what is under the tag incase someone doesn't want to know the solve without trying it themself - thanks, kona]

The answer needs to be emailed. Or possibly tweeted as it appears that @TevanAelaan is on twitter.

[edit - add an explaination what is under the spoiler tag so you know what it is about before you mouse over it - kona]
"using the planet name and the number to solve the puzzle?"
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"return of saturn " was no doubt's fourth album to come out, four years after their previous one.
(those who are familiar with no doubt would know that gwen stefani performs with them, so you need to look up the band rather than the person for this one)
