I've heard basement of doom a lot. It's the accepted name.

 		Basement of Doom, Hotel of WTF.
I agree on Basement of Doom being as well accepted and in wide enough use to be practically the real name.

Does anyone else wonder wtf is up with the hotel? I feel like we're all just pretending that it makes some sort of sense. People are working there...but there are no other guests...does Slendy own this hotel? Are the workers just possessed all the time? Did TO make the parent company (there's always a parent company) forget that it existed so it doesn't get revamped, reorged, or closed for non-profitability? It just kinda gives me an eye twitch when I think of it.

Well it could be that it simply wasn't tourist season when they were there--I think it was during Spring, right?

That being said, I think even Jessica called attention to the fact that they were the only guests when she was talking to Jay. Operator being the one who owns the hotel is a bit silly, the only thing I can think of is totheark being involved.

 		On the subject of the hotel, I think it might be a sort of safe haven for people who are attacked by the operator. After all there where no Operator encounters at the hotel that I remember. Part of the staff might be people who realized the hotel was safe.

 		The hotel might be owned by Maskies. I mean, they are playing with Jay and Jessica, while TO plays with Alex.

Yet, I think that Maskies wants Jay and Jessica help to dispose of TO and Alex. It's like a match of chess - whoever makes a right move, wins.

Well, Maskies might just be an a staff members, and not own a hotel by themselves. That's what I wanted to say. They are using the hotel as safe point for Jay and Jessica, but when Jay saw Maskie in a hotel (Which, in my opinion, only wanted to explain everything to them), he panicked and ran.

If he wanted to explain things to J he would have come as Tim. J would not have freaked if he saw Tim. Also even if he hadn't come as Tim he was sneaking up on J. But your theory is solid and it goes along with the Voices in Jessicas room in 36.
