On the twitter feed, Black Thir13en replies that we are blind. It also claims that it did not take Jack,so perhaps it is a messenger of sorts. It also has some foresight,seeing as it predicted that The Creature /Agent takes Jack after tricking Serah.

Blind to what though? Is it a helper,hinderer,or neutral?

This person, Black Thirteen, probably has an inside track, meaning he can get close to Mr. Thin without any repercussions.

Whoever this is knows what a faceless man is thinking, for christ's sake.

Unless, of course, Black Thirteen is Slenderman.

New to the whole ARG thing, but this one seems interesting enough to jump into, so excuse me if I'm doing ridiculous things here.

Regarding the latest tweets from our black13 friend;

which LOOKS relevant to the AV DQ VN BA NV PD AL code as in 2 characters at a time (don't know how this coding is called).
Not sure if this is relevant at all though.

Also, why does blackthir13en say slenderman is his 'agent', while in the meantime giving us hints as if he's helping us.
Maybe this all is nothing more than a sick game. No matter what we do, we'll always walk a step behind, B13 in full control of our knowledge on this whole thing.
Unless Serah is going to figure something out, or at least find something.

Too bad I know nothing about Stephen King novels.

It sounds like the scene from LOST. Basically, there are two forces nearly equal and power in original in LOST. So, is there another being just as powerful and old as Slenderman?

Slenderman is looking for a loophole?

- It's 3 seconds long
- The video is of a man's face, talking. The colors have been negativized or otherwize distorted. Heavy on the red/magenta scale.
- The audio sounds like it's backwards, and slowed down.

I'm waiting for someone else with experience editing video/audio to tool around with it and tell us what they find, cause I have none.

Damn. I was close on that. I didn't understand the letter substitution thing.

I was thinking that given the considerable Gunslinger/Stephen King references, might we want to consider rebranding Slendy since we might not be dealing with a "traditional" Slender Man mythos? Particularly since we have at least one character/entity who alleges to be in control of Slendy (or at least influencing it).

Quick, needless character breakdown - no order of importance:

1. Slender Man / "The Agent": As on the tin. Suggesting Agent/The Agent as DYLT-specific moniker for SM.

2. Jack Redding (aka "Jill" in early theories): 13 yo boy, literate and intelligent. Orphan, parents killed in SM/Agent fugue.

3. lil Jack/Jack Jr: Alternate persona for Jack possibly, potential "possessed" ego being puppeteered by the Agent. lil Jack is considerably more child-like in personality and relative sophistication than the other Jack.

4. Serah: 17 yo girl from California, partnered with Jack with the other Aoki orphans. Seems self-sufficient, discerning. A bit suspect of Jack, but willing to work with "us".

5. Black 13: Originally theorized to refer to the Agent/SM, but seems to be a separate entity or authority. Very derisive of UF/Blogger Commenters. Posts or references appear to be fairly threatening, although We haven't seen what exactly he's capable of, or what he wants. Frequently complains that we "do not see". Associates self with the broken hourglass symbol.

6. Unnamed Photographers: The mysterious photographers and travelers from Japan who exposed Serah and Jack to knowledge of the Aoki-doom-forest. Significance unknown, possibly coincidental, possible malign intent against the kids.
