I'm not sure how this works - is YouTube admin now acting autonomously, flagging and taking down videos based on a single original complaint re: the video with the offscreen shooting? Or did someone have to flag each new video again and again?

This opinion may not be looked upon nicely but I'm kind of upset with them as creators right now. They went from one of the strongest vlogs to a tier below Angel's Game for me because the quality of their videos has gone sharply down since More Questions, No Answers.

First zakk? aka someone from bleach shows up, enjoy his terrible acting, then we see paper-mache-slendy and his amazing young adult hands. Up next TJ goes to Louisville to visit some guys I don't care about and their pretentious anime character friend. Some other stuff happens, amy is in the woods, blah blah blah. More talking from anime dude, I didn't even watch that video myself.

I'm not sure what happened with the dog, and I'm sure there's a lot of excuses, but you don't just blast an animal for biting someone. I really don't know what compelled them to include that at all in their series in the first place.

And here come strike three. "zomg we cut ourselves and don't remember it??? WTF???". Bad acting and writing. Now it looks to be shaping up to be a Bad Ending, which is really too bad, not to mention a total cop-out. I expected a lot, I really did, so maybe it's my fault for starting with such high hopes.

It's like imagine if suddenly MH added a super GRIMDARK character that couldn't act, then J films himself running over Alex's cat in the driveway, then slendy slashes his throat and he dies. That's where I'm at now.

I can't believe it was taken down again. The flagger/flaggers are a bunch of filthy piss flaps. I really hope they finish the series I have really enjoyed their vlog and will be sad if we don't get to see the end. I am also willing to watch it anywhere or download if need be. It's a pity we can't see the comments from the dog video I'm sure flaggy mcflaggersons would have made several comments.

Yes, you do put a dog down for biting someone. It's often ordered by the municipality that you turn over a dog that's bitten someone so it can be put down.

In this case, a vicious dog was wandering outside their house threatening the people and pets inside; they explain in detail in the blog, but essentially, yes, they had to shoot it. It's not an excuse, but one of those realities of living out in the boonies, where you can't necessarily get Animal Control out in a jiffy, before someone gets seriously hurt.

Agreed. But you don't film it and put it on youtube(I know what was filmed wasn't the dog actually being shot...but they presented it as such when it first came out.)

As far as this goes, it's still bs.

I wish they'd just go elsewhere instead of changing their story for youtube.

Well, I wasn't aware it was a feral animal on the property, but I know nobody would be shooting at -my- dog.

And like Ouroboros said, It just shouldn't have been included at all, 'bs' sums my feelings up nicely.

But yea, I didn't mean to sound mean before, but I'm just really unhappy with the direction they've taken. The ending might offer some redemption but I'm not holding my breath.

Are we really on the dog thing again?

To each their own as far as opinions go, but nobody is being forced to watch it. If I didn't like a story/movie, I would put it down and move on, not slam the creators for not performing to my expectations. But that is just my opinion.

I really hope they don't change their story just because of butthurt youtube bullshit, that would be incredibly disappointing for me.

I'm not slamming anyone, I'm sure they're fine people, I'm just not happy about recent decisions on their part. If i were a creator I would expect people to respond passionately and honestly to my decisions as well.

That being said the series itself is still great, I've watched the whole thing, And I'll be watching the end.

Their videos should not have been flagged or taken down. End of story.

I think that was more a summary of the state of opinions, and a can we talk about something else (like series speculation) than an argument.

how about this: have we heard anything about amy being ok? I haven't been keeping up with this series much, so I don't know where we stand right now.

I have to respectfully disagree.

Maybe you wouldn't have recorded that, but grabbing a camera isn't an uncommon reaction to an uncomfortable situation. Isn't that the underlying idea of a horror vlog, and shaky-cam horror movies? "This is a terrifying situation--let me hide behind a camera for an extra layer of distance from it, or talk to the camera so I can put on a brave face instead of freaking out." The dog tape is all nervous waiting vented as bad jokes as two people sit through a frightening situation because they can't really do anything about it, not unlike the series they tried to work it into.

As for it being presented as real, so was the mutilation, stalking, murder, kidnapping and general child-threatening. We see all of that on screen and don't blink. Let us hear a whimper off-screen and we wig out. Kids and animals are popular in horror because that's where many people draw the line; there are people I will not introduce to the series because I know they'd have a similar "Oh hell no!" reaction to the inclusion of Dahlia on principle. I recall some MH viewers being twitchy over the possibility they'd incorporated real life disappearances into the series via mystery numbers/dates at one time. But things "you just don't do" are what's done in horror. You push those buttons.

MH talked about dead animals at Brian's house. Amy of the Wild talked about going to war with the squirrels. TT showed us dead bird photos. Nobody gave Noah (er, the real guy, that is) flack for opportunism in taking pictures and incorporating that into his story, or accused him of stalking to the park to pop a pigeon for fiction. Is it that we gave him more credit than we give TJ & Amy? Do we just care less about a bird than a dog?

Not to sound callous, but I think part of the massive losing of shit here was story-based--they shoehorned the video into the series and thought viewers would connect the dots and tie it into the story. We had no lead-in mentions of strange animal behavior, we had no mention in their video diary format of a dog going twitchy on them, we had no hand to hold and tell ourselves, "Was that a real life element incorporated into the series? Is everyone OK?" They hadn't made room for the dog video in the story for their viewers, so viewers couldn't reconcile it as part of the story rather than a sudden doggy snuff film on the TJA channel.

Would they still have lost some people at the suggested violence to animals? Sure, the same way they lose some people because a real child is involved in the series.

Just my take, anyway. Then again, I tell jokes at funerals, so maybe inappropriate is up my alley.
