[EMH] TRIAL SEVEN: LIFEFORCE

Hi unfiction, long time no see. I'm #082, still alive and kicking (and breathing). I wonder if this is just HABIT effectively ending the trials? And one of us 60 years down the line will receive a mysterious box in the mail....

Well, considering that the tournament was called the "Seven Trials of HABIT," and that this is, in fact, the seventh trial, I'm going to take a guess and say that he probably is trying to end them. And I just noticed that there are seven rabbits left in the seventh trial, which is either a nice little coincidence, or proves that HABIT wasn't planning to let #52 slip by anyway.

And gosh, I just don't know who to root for, so I'll just say "best of luck" to all seven of you.

Latest CYSTW posts includes a reference to HABIT trying to make the "perfect shell" - the 100% ideal host for itself, with which it will be able to use to do more or less anything it wants.

I had thought back at the start of the trials that they seemed rather ritualistic in nature, and that perhaps the point might be to cultivate Rabbits for a particular purpose. I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that the surviving Rabbits can expect a visit from a HABIT looking to try them on like a new suit in the near future - that the purpose of the Trials was, in fact, to find someone to be the perfect shell HABIT has wanted for years.

But then what about Evan? I am rather sure he is both inHABITed AND the shell mentioned.

I have a theory, actually, which I may post later today.

I can't remember the specific wording, but if memory serves, didn't the original message from Habit say that the trials would continue until NO rabbits remain, not ONE. It does make a big difference if it's the case. Just thought I'd bring it up. I don't have the time to find it, but I could have sworn that's what it said long ago.
