Umumm... Are all blogspot blogs using those backgrounds? Because if they're not standard or a default or one basic option I may have an idea of what this game may be about....

Good find on the Mosque. I'm not sure if that was you who posted on the blog but hopefully we get some sort of answer for that (or the next place).
On the End of the Lane blog, it says his real name is Jack Killenstien, but that's how he introduced himself. I just found that odd. And who is "they" that are responsible for the deaths of 90 people. Not to mention that sentence is strangely capitalized (though anagraming reveals nothing with the letters).
I'm not a user of blogspot, so I can't say whether they are or aren't provided options. One can only assume that the author choose those images, even if they were default. They could have just gone with a solid colour.
Yeah, that was me. It'll be interesting to see if he responds to that. That whole thing reminds me of a sort of "Where in the World is Carmen San Diego". If this is a "chase me around the world" type thing, I'm stoked.

He needs a 9 letter password. If it's not the obvious Marco Polo, how about PLAY IT SAM from all the Bogie references? (The mosque is in Casablanca)

That was guessed under comments awhile back, so I guess it's something else for the password. My Finnish must be bad, I can't get a comment to post on the blog.
The best i've got on the scribbled out part is 9+G rn maybe? 9+0 rP ?

E-mailed him earlier today saying I was ready for the adventure of a lifetime. His reply was "And adventure you shall have." Lurking.

As its a picture of Dooley Wilson, PLAYITSAM is a real possibility for a password. Anyone that can care to post it on the blog?

Edit to add:
Might as well throw in my favorite seven:

Its seeming now like its an assassination gone wrong for a "Cult of Seven." Or maybe against them? Still not sure.
EDIT: Assuming Killenstein is the man in the hotel room, "the end of the lane" says he killed 90 people, yet the transcripted recording says 78.. The note he received early on also says 90. What gives?
Also, what do you guys think the relation is between "the end of the lane" and "Casablanca?" The first post in "Casablanca" says "This is not the end of the lane." Perhaps it's just tautology, but that seems kinda pointless.

This could be the one:
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-africa-14290795
even though the numbers don't quite add up.
There were 12 civilians and 9 crew, which I supposed included Marco's wife, and there is a Morocco connection with the Mosque.

It does seem to fit. Three people survived the crash. Perhaps one was the target of the assassination?
