[ABANDONED SERIES] RHSCommitee
It's that time again, kids!

So, two girls, Jenna and Taylor, and their male friend, Matthew, are members of the Rutland High School Planning Committee. And that's what the channel is for: Planning for their school functions. Which is pretty boring, except for the little snippets of conversation we get between Jenna and Taylor about the former's tall, creepy neighbor, and afterwards, when Jenna finds a burnt photograph stuffed inside an old music box. And, of course, there's the conversation between the girls in what appears to be Jenna's back yard, where they are being watched by someone who seems to have a bit of a limp.

So far, they've only got three videos up, so it's a bit too early to tell how good they're going to be. I mean, in the first video especially, Jenna is kind of annoyingly bubbly and airheaded, but this seems to be evened out by Taylor's chill nature. What I do like, however, is their distortion. It's very subtle, at first, and when it gets intense, they choose to shy away from the ear-splitting noise that many of the older series' made us shit our pants with, instead going with an approach that is all together more subtle, but also more intriguing.

Well, you kids know what to do.

spooky distortion

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
the dialogue is super natural, even though these ladies seem to be pretty young, their acting is quality so far. Just not sure how I feel about THE man appearing so prominently in the third video. I do, however, have a penchant for those slow-roasted vlogs nad might just be exerting personal bias. But I was kind of into his weird side-step move. Nice to see that thread about on slenderman's movement being exercised in real life (apologies for an awkward sentence there, time for bed.)

forgot to mention I subscribed Wink

Is it just me, or are these vlogs coming out more quickly than ever? It seems almost every other day I sign on that there's a new one on here. Not that I'm complaining about a steady rate of free entertainment... not to mention that THE BIG THREE! won't be around forever either.

ANYWAYS.

First, I'd like to give many kudos on the short videos. When I first read Acora's summary, I was bracing for endless minutes of bland conversation about school outings in order to catch a frame of distortion. Fortunately, I was wrong and it didn't take much more than five minutes to catch up. That, I like. However...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
As lachesis mentioned, there was a thread the other week about Slenderman's movement and how some have grown tired of the standard stand-around-head-tilt routine. I'm totally for that, but what was with that side-step? I couldn't help but laugh. It looked like a cartoon character trying to be "sneaky". For that shot, I think it would have actually been more effective to have him completely still... hidden in the trees. Also, the dial-up modem distortion was pretty distracting. If the creator is reading this, try downloading Audacity (it's free) and messing around with stuff in there. You can practically make any noise sound like slenderdistortion.

That all being said, I like the characters and so far it feels pretty real. The conversation isn't forced, if I weren't finding those videos on Unfiction I probably wouldn't really think much of them (well, at first anyways). Subscribed.

Dat sidlin' slendy.

This series is very so-so. The second upload was marginally creepy and I guess the characters are okay (I imagine it's just the girls acting as they normally would). I'll keep an eye on it.

There's a quick frame in the last second of the first video with binary that translates to "mine".

I noticed the binary, but I could never catch it quick enough to translate it. So thanks for that, dude.

See initials.

Think thread is about me.

Wonder if I started an ARG without remembering having done so.

Remember that I haven't been on UnForum in weeks, try to remember what I've been doing, fail to recall every instant.

SLOONDERMAWN'd!

No... No... Just self-obsessed.

Carry on.

I will admit that I have only seen episode 3 so far. Already I would have to say their Slender Man needs a total overhaul unless the one we saw just turns out to be somebody playing a joke on them. It is clearly on stilts and I can't put my finger on it, but something is really odd about the head. I have read that the acting is good and natural in this series, but if I see more of this Slender Man then I may begin to think it a straight played parody. It is still very early so this could change.

New video!

We have fire and also water. Thumbs up from Taylor. My neck hurts.

The main reason I follow this is because episode 3 reminded me of Splendor Man, but also because I see some potential here. I like how the characters communicate in the comments to the earlier videos. My only criticism at this point is that contrary to what you may have heard, a 90 degree angle isn't always right.

I have to agree the right angle hurt my neck. This reminds me of the valley girl Splendor Man video for now.

No updates from this series in awhile....hmm...hope they'll continue (although they've probably had exams)

I like the characters and the acting. Taylor's the coolest.
Also, the entire 3rd video reminded me of Splendor Man haha!
My interest level doubled with episode five.
I really hope they continue filming this.
