I got my invitation to log into Pottermore early this morning. I'll report back tonight on what this thing really is- although I expect anyone here really interested in that has likely already been following Leaky Cauldron or Mugglenet. XD

I've just been watching Twitter explode all day. I don't know what I hate more, the jerks who rub it in that they're signed in and playing, or the people who whine every twenty minutes about not getting their welcome e-mail.

I heard that a few particularly moronic individuals actually deleted their accounts when they weren't sorted into the house they wanted. Have fun waiting until October!

Either way...it's fun hearing about the buzz just so I know a little bit about what to expect. But I can be patient.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about the dev team for Pottermore. With the whole thing being so hush-hush and not even disclosing big details to beta testers, I gotta wonder if the people in charge have ever undertaken something like this before.

Edit: Found out it's an advertising agency called TH_NK, but I have no idea who they've got programming everything or running QC.

I won one of the magic quill events as well - hoping to gain an early entry into Pottermore - but I'm still waiting for an email to say that I can enter....

...I guess they've got enough beta testers now.

Don't give up hope just yet, they are letting people in by random batches. I was allowed in before the BF even though I made the profiles the same day. Also they are only letting us explore chapter one so far.... so our early access content was pretty limited.

I meant book one, not just chapter one.

And for the record, as HappyPhantom pointed out, it doesn't really matter on what day you found the quill. There are day 3s and 4s that haven't gotten in, and I'm sure more than a few 1s and 2s.

I registered on the Pottermore fan forums just to keep an eye on the goings-on, and not surprisingly there isn't much info there. I think the majority of the users there are also still waiting for their welcome e-mails. In fact, there's a forum dedicated to venting about not getting it yet.

All the while I'm thinking, 'wow, they should have hired 42e to do this - they know how to handle large amounts of people signing on all at once!' But I suppose that would be too much to ask.

Still nothing. I'm pretty frustrated, but it's more with the lack of coming through with the promises of having everyone in by now. I want Pottermore to be awesome, but so far it's just been disappointing. And I haven't played it yet!

I hope you have fun with it though, if the site ever comes back online. Which house are you in? If you can "friend" people who can't access yet, my user name is MarauderElm33.

Well, the site keeps timing out because there's too many people accessing it. I can't make any progress through the chapters. Frustrating!!

I'm not a Pottermore member yet (sadly), but this is something I haven't seen mentioned in this thread:

I found this through a Reddit thread, which you can see here.

Chapter 2, moment 1, there are two numbers under the stairs (screen shot here). 1531 and 4157.

Any ideas? Possibly something that will be used later?
