I accidentally shot one with a wide arrow, and was treated to the wonderful image of the thing warping closer and closer every time a vine broke line-of-sight.

I had my first encounter with an Enderman a few days ago, in a dark part of my mine. I booked it, and it kinda looked like a scene out of Marble Hornets, where every time I would turn around he would be there. I was terrified.

Exploring a cavern in Minecraft, having a great time mining for iron and fun things.

Found a huge ravine, with lots of waterfalls and overhangs; looked like an awesome sight.
Standing on top of a tiny outcropping, way up high and in the distance, I saw an Enderman's purple eyes.
Well, he's too far away to notice me, I told myself, and continued exploring through the ravine.

Once I was near the end, I looked back and realized I couldn't see the Enerman on his outcrop anymore.

Then I heard a growl behind me.

How long did it take for you to develop the compulsive tic to look at the ground any time you saw purple dots in the distance? I think the third or fourth time I saw one, it began. xP

It seems you have to be far away for looking at them to trigger a reaction. I'm not sure if that makes it less terrifying or not. o.O

If you guys really want to shit yourselves, you aught to try encountering Enderman in the way he was meant to be encountered.

I haven't been a big minecraft guy, due to the fact that I hate Notch as a person, but I like the idea of a tall enemy who moves shit around on you, de-build your house, and stare into your soul. I've been playing on a friends account, and I haven't really seen one, but I've been very careful since i'm shit.

Also If we got an slenderman skin for the endermen, then we need some EverymanHYBRID, TribeTwelve, Marble Hornets, what-have-you skins.

I want Slendercraft.

Someone on the Yogscast forum (who made a crappier version of the Slender-enderman skin I found) did a reskin of all that mobs to Slenderman mythos creatures/people. It's kind of silly though, once you see it in action.
