Shocked it hasn't shown up yet (or I just missed it while reading the rest of the thread), but the whole "In search of truth" album by Evergrey is what dragged me back to MH a few months ago, after about a year of not having nightmares. Rolling Eyes

It's a concept album about alien abduction, but it's the opening of the first track ("The Masterplan") that really does it:

(transcribed from listening, can't find it by doing a lyrics search for some reason)

Quote:
I have decided to keep this tape recorder with me at all times
Just so that maybe I can one day explain all the strange things happening to me
The lack of sleep
The loss of time
But most of all, the sensation of never being lonely
Always being watched.

YES.

In all seriousness, though, I can't think of any music that wouldn't seem like a cheesy movie soundtrack. The silence and the distortion is enough for me. Though "Joshua Tree" by Tom Heasley (sp?) is nice and atmospheric and eerie.

Unfortunately, I've seen too many (and yes, three is too many) of the spoof videos on YouTube for the "gimme twenny dollaz" song to NOT remind me of MH. Which is irritating.

Immortal by Kittie. Always imagined it as the perfect soundtrack to someone being stalked at night.

Location: Do you think I want Masky at my door? Nuh uh.

I've always found the soundtrack to the movie Pi to be quite fitting to MH.

And the trailer to the movie as well,

I was listening to Her by Tyler, the Creator, and it had some very masky things to, somewhat.

If Slendy was a rapist "She" by Tyler, The Creator (feat. Frank Ocean) would be his theme song.

"You're sleeping alone in your bedroom
But check your window, he's at your window"

It kind of loses the feel after a little while, but the opening is perfect.

VNV Nation - On-Air

A very slender distortion makes this song a perfect soundtrack of a slenderseries.

I'll have to upload some of the music I listen to, but it's pretty spot on. One of the tracks is Slowly Up and Digital Down..., by RM74. I'll try and get it to you guys.

The first stanza of Leslie Fish's "Walk Through the Night Side":

Empty street of beads of light
None spells safety in my sight
Lend me a knife, lend me a light
So I can make it home tonight

I hope someone introduces Leslie to Marble Hornets. I'd love to hear her singing about it.

Stay Awake from Mary Poppins. Here listen to a cover and tell me you don't agree: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B16PbzCrpMI

The entire soundtrack for The Path, Fey Wolf, Forest Interlude 2, and Forest Theme stand out. Respectively:

The song, from the opening credits, and the opening credits themselves in a weird way, remind me of Marble Hornets.

For some reason Alice Cooper The Man Behind The Mask reminds me.
