interesting and original ARG
if the second riddle follows the same logic as the first, can we assume eden has to go to another place in the unnamed city - a bit like a treasure hunt? if so then maybe:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"words that come together" might mean 'sentence', which suggests the courthouse, or jail. personally i'd go with courthouse which is more where you receive yr sentence rather than serve it...and the riddle does suggest that you can go free as well as being imprisoned, which would be more likely at court where you may be found not guilty.
can't mail eden right now as i'm at work. will try later if noone else has time.

I have e-mailed her your suggestion (giving you credit of course!).
Hopefully, she'll reply soon.

New email:
Quote:
This morning I met with the stranger who put me up at the hotel.
He bought coffee and we sat at a table in the corner.
He told me to turn off my laptop and not use the WiFi here.
We had an interesting conversation but I didn't learn anything from him.
I am now back at the library where dead men tell lies, trying to figure out how to find Ted.

I have to leave for work also but so far it seems 'here' doesn't work and I also tried 'lies.' Just gibberish...
By the way, here is Eden's response to the courthouse clue:
Quote:
So glad to have friends on my side! I went to the courthouse this morning but received the following communication:
You won't find Ted here.
You'll find him back where the dead men lie.

HA! Awesome, Amandel. I almost regret checking the forum before I took a crack at the last two ciphers!
I suppose if courthouse isn't the answer, this is also one of those "look at the riddle from another angle" situations... I'm going to go back and look at the list from the map and mull it over.
Thanks again, Amandel.

Also our clue might have something to do with music or maps i'm not sure which to suggest...
I suggested checking the reference section she ignored me and sent back:
Quote:
Did you have a chance to look at my blog? Whoops, I mean, the blog I sent you. It's not like I have a blog.
I've been thinking about the riddle and trying to find Ted and thinking that the riddles were in verse, so maybe Ted has something to do with verse? Poetry maybe? I'll check it out and let you know what I find.

I got the email about poetry too. That was funny because I thought the same thing she did and was looking at poets with the name Ted. I suggested she check out Ted Hughes.

I think I may have beat you to the chase. I sent an email saying to check out Ted Hughes but this is the email:
Quote:
I found a poetry section and it was roped off because there is going to be a reading later today. I tried sneaking around but was caught and reprimanded by the librarian. While I'm waiting for the reading I think I will try to found out more online about poets named Ted.
HEEIREOTDLRDSMTEDWPSPNDORC
Another email short while later:
Quote:
I looked up poets named Ted and I think it's either got to be Ted Hughes or Ted Kooser. I'll check both once I can get back to the poetry section after the reading this afternoon.
HEEIREOTDLRDSMTEDWPSPNDORC
I wish I had time for the vingere, but I have to leave somewhere.
I guess besides that we wait.

GOOD FIND! That's what she meant in the Vignere a few emails back about finding her while she tries to figure out how to share her words.

Okay a few new emails:
Quote:
I went to the poetry reading, and before taking a seat I grabbed a book of poetry by Ted Hughes. Sure enough, wedged in the middle of the book was a name and address:
CeCe McHale
1515 Rio Grande Drive
Plano, Texas 75075
I pocketed this, assuming I would be given more instructions for my next mission, when suddenly the poet started speaking and introduced himself as Ted Mayhew, a local poet. After his reading a line formed to meet him get your book signed. I didn't have a book, so I gave him the piece of paper with CeCe's address. He looked at for a minute, gave me a sharp look, and wrote something on the back. Then he pressed it into my palm and told me to have a nice evening.
I waited until I was out of the library and back at the hotel to look at it. My heart was pounding. On the back of CeCe's address he wrote:
"Very few poets can be trusted."
I have know idea what this means.
I have to go now! More later about my new mission.

On the blog there are a few things. One happened on the 16th:
Quote:
This morning I met with the stranger who put me up at the hotel. He bought the coffee and we sat at a table in the corner. He told me to turn off my laptop and not use the WiFi.
He told me that he knew who I was and that we had worked together on a previous episode. I told him that it was impossible for him to remember me, and he said, "Their methods don't work on me."
He told me that I would need a lot more than five friends. He said to find a way to communicate with them besides my assigned email, so I set up this blog. He also told me to keep emailing, or they would get suspicious. So we will continue to work on the clues via email, the way I am required to do for the mission, and I will use this blog to discuss those things I wish to keep away from them.
He promised to follow me at a safe distance and will continue to share information with me about who I am and who they are. Despite the danger I'm very intrigued. He told me to call him Boone.
Meanwhile, I have to continue to look for Ted. The success of this mission and my life depends on it.
Next is a blog post right before an email:
Quote:
So Boone wants me to go find his friend Micah, a Russian hacker who lives in Plano, Texas. And, as you may know, Plano is the location of my next mission. My mission director has told me to find a woman named CeCe McHale, in Plano, Texas. I have to admit, I'm both excited and terrified at the prospect of disobeying orders by seeing Micah. Part of me wants to go straight to CeCe and pretend like I never met Boone.
I'm flying this time, and the director has rented me a car, waiting for me at DFW. However, Boone says if I go see Micah he will give me a car (not a rental), weapons, and money. Then I can get to the bottom of who I am, who we all are, and who the mission directors really work for.
I'll be flying to Texas no matter what, and plan to do a lot of thinking on the plan.
Talk to you soon!
Then an email I recently recieved:
Quote:
Sometimes I get communications directly from my computer. While waiting at the airport my screen froze except for a huge wall of numbers. I assume it's related to my mission. I won't share them with you here, but I'll let you know if I figure anything out.
I'll also let you know when I get to Dallas and head to Plano to find CeCe.
Looking at the blog the numbers are there:
