Cool. You'll have to put up a formula on caws.ws or something. I'm terrible at making caws.

Sure thing. Smile

I'm actually dressing up as Slender Man for an event at my university Freshers.

In math class, I use the Operator Symbol for when things are undefined, like so:

1 / 0 = ⊗

Yeah, I'll never be safe.

So in my sleepy little college town yesterday, we had the foggiest weather. And my dorm's backdoor opens to a view of the nearby woods.

And I voided my bowels when I thought I saw movement in the trees.

It's been a while since that happened, but part of it may be my oen activities of late. See my sig for details...

In my networking class, we use the ⊗ to symbolize routers in network topologies. At first it used to be nothing but a router, but then marble hornets came in to my life and ruined it for me forever.

I... have problems.

I draw Slederman on EVERYTHING. Seriously everything. And after I first watched them, I couldn't sleep.
And I'm afraid of the dark...

A couple of weeks ago the closet was the only light on in the room and when I looked at the reflection in the TV it looked like slendy was standing in my closet. It was only the way some things were arranged though.

Just the thought of The Operator just walking around in my backyard (Cause I live in such a heavily wooded area 0_0) would seriously result me becoming the most paranoid bastard around. Then again who wouldn't be?

A few days ago in school, I was bored and scratched an Operator Symbol on the back of one of my large erasers. It wasn't a deep scratch, so it would fade within a few days. A few minutes later, a random kid thought someone else scratched that onto my eraser, so he wiped out the Operator Symbol for me. About ten minutes later, I got bored again and scratched the Operator Symbol into the eraser much more. The new scratch was very deep and the Operator Symbol has yet to fade to this day.

I've doomed myself. Even though that other kid didn't even know about Marble Hornets, he was trying to save me from the Operator. But I blew it. Time to start killing random strangers!

My Blu-Ray player has a weird glitch where sometimes I'll turn it on and start watching something and the audio will sound really digitized and sort of distorted (thanks Samsung, you're great). Now, it doesn't really scare me, and it does go away as soon as I reboot the player, but sometimes it makes me wonder if it means our friend El Hombre Alto is watching me Shocked

This hardly qualifies as real life, but:

Sweet! Thanks man. Smile

recently picked up a copy of the game The Political machine 2008. It has a scenario where you run for emperor of some alien nation. Who did I create to run for emperor you ask? None other than The Operator who won by the narrowest of margins. Thinking of creating Masky to run against him and Alex and Jay as their respective running mates.

I was playing this video game called Okami. You play as a wolf/sun goddess and at one point in the game, you disguise yourself from some really stupid enemies by putting a piece of cloth over your face and drawing something on it. The player gets to draw the design on the cloth so I drew the Operator symbol (the circle with the x through it).

Now, what I forgot is that whatever symbol you drew on the cloth will show up as graffiti all over a town you visit later. And I also forgot when you first visit this town, it is under a curse with a thunderstorm threatening overhead. So it's one in the morning and I wander into this eerie town where all the people are lying on the ground in pain, an evil mist fills the air, lightning is flashing overhead and I look around and realize I am surrounded by the Operator symbol... Let's just say I thought about sleeping with the lights on that night.

If Hollywood would take a lesson from these guys, they might manage to resurrect the horror genre. Bring back psychological horror.

OT:
There's a movie I can recommend to you that you might like. It's called Lake Mungo. It's an Australian movie (and relatively low budget), not a Hollywood one, but I guess that proves your point.

No cheap jump scares, just good ol' psychological mindfuck. I've heard there's a Hollywood remake planned, but they'll probably fudge it up, so definitely watch the Aussie one.

I have studied the horror genre and heres what I have to say about these comments.

The horror genre comes and goes, but it is at it's best when there is much national strife or global problems. We tend to place our fears in the movie and
it takes away our own troubles, at least for a while. But when a mass of people are not worried about the same thing, there is less for the masses to connect to.
