According to the Formspring, I don't think Noah knows much about HABIT. Considering the consensus is that HABIT sent the letter, and bears a resemblance to his own "Observer", you'd think he'd ask more about that.

Actually, I kinda agree. Part of the draw to Tribe Twelve is how crushingly alone Noah is. Even living in a huge-ass house totally alone. Everything about TT is about isolation, whereas EMH has a big cast and lots of relationship dynamics.

Still, it's a crossover, it's not a total merging. In this part, they literally touch tips. We can let Noah have friends for once.

I just feel that the crossover is kind of forced - like they guys decided it'd be nice to do a video together, but when it came to the crunch couldn't come up with a compelling enough reason for the characters to meet up which, at the same time, was sufficiently non-vital to both series' plotlines to prevent the crossover overshadowing the "meat" of the individual series.

I mean, precisely what information is exchanged here which they couldn't have handled over e-mail?

EDIT: Oh, and mulling it over I definitely agree that the crossover sabotages the really quite important "Noah Against The World" dynamic that's what makes TT work. Not fatally, of course, I've no doubt it'll all come flooding back now the crossover's done with, but still, really didn't need to happen.

DH might be my favorite vlog... I was pretty disappointed that their crossover was a minor nod.

To stay optimistic, I've been telling myself that it exists to quell our fears of their hiatus, that they're still out there being followed. But could it be to show that slenderman is pursuing the emh boys instead of the dh? Maybe.

The water seems a little fishier than that, though... I get the feeling that this isn't the end of their interaction, or that it has more bearing than we know right yet.

I really see their interaction as a minor nod and nothing more. DH doesn't need the EMH crew to keep me interested anyway.

I don't understand why a lot of people are shunning the crossovers. DH just cameo'd and TT just shared information, neither of their plots have been affected by this crossover. Noah will keep trying to find out what happened to Milo; the DH guys will keep running from Slendy and the Slendy cult; and Jeff, Evan, and Vinnie will keep...well, doing what they've been doing their entire series. (Staying alive? I'm not even sure at this point if they even have a solid plot anymore.)

Did anybody else notice that the distortions were different?

The distortions when we see slendy after EMH meet the DH crew, is the pretty typical "color" distortion as seen in past EMH videos. However, at the train station, we get distortion more akin to what we've seen in TT in the past, which is distinct to EMH's distortion.

I think this supports the multiple slendy theory, but maybe I'm just making something out of nothing.

Eh, I don't think this adversely affects the atmosphere of isolation for TT. Sure, he had someone to talk to for awhile, but in the end it didn't get him any further. Their situations seem similar at first glance, but for all practical purposes they're not. I can't see Noah and the EMH crew continuing to compare notes if it doesn't get them anywhere. If anything, the crossover might actually emphasize Noah's aloneness for me. He got a taste of what it'd be like to go through this with people who trust and care for each other, just by watching the EMH crew. But he can't have that comraderie himself, so it throws his loneliness into sharp relief. Just my $0.02.
