Masked psychopaths just can't perform well without Facetime and Angry Birds.

Tim practices his stabbing with Fruit Ninja.

the time between entries is what ruins the creepiness factor for me this season (outside of the operator doing little to nothing - totheark freaks me out more). i'm supposed to believe jay is taking over a month to go over a few GB of hard drive / tape footage? lol

this better be the best entry ever for how long we're waiting for it

I kind of agree. We are supposed to believe that Jay is sitting in some hotel room every day, lying low, to avoid anything happening while he goes through footage. Okay, that's all well and good. But for it to take two or three weeks for him to ever find anything substantial, and not to hear from him almost at all in between those times just makes things seem unrealistic. If anything, he should be more active on Twitter attempting to theorize what's going on with Alex with the viewers help.

That's IG though, I understand that OOG Troy probably has other things to do and/or doesn't want to accidentally give away wrong information/ideas.

You have no god damn idea how annoying and difficult filmmaking is, do you?

^ This. And actually, Jay not communicating with us makes sense IG as well. Jay has always been an introvert. And kinda derpy. If there's nothing to report he won't say anything.

As for not going through the footage quicker, I can see that too. If you have an unpleasant job in front of you, you tend to put it off if you can, not matter how stupid of you it is to do so. (I once put off a ten page research paper to four hours before it was due... I got a B on it though! Very Happy) And if Jay is suffering from Slender sickness again, it will make his job even more difficult.

Pretty much everything Randoman and Star Kindler said. As easy as one might assume it is to put these entries together, from experience making a number of short films (see: equivalent to roughly one or two entries) the process isn't something that's easy to do every single week to the day when you've got life to live... particularly when it's hectic. Keep in mind on top of this that OOG, scripting takes place kind of on-the-fly days before each entry, scenes require rehearsals, multiple takes, etc. and then (depending on the level of supernatural forces) a good honking portion of editing.

That said, in game, I've kind of resolved to Star Kindler's assumptions. Jay's not exactly one to put himself out there a lot. Note: we've only had Jay narrate on-camera to us twice (at least to my knowledge) in the S1 finale and then in the 30's in S2 when he narrates in his car, then admonishes himself for talking too much. The fact that we've gotten a lot more Twitter interaction this season was a huge plus.

As for the gaps, that can be a bit annoying, and maybe Troy/Joseph need to plan more ahead of time for these things (shoot a lot of footage early, try to have a buffer of one or two episodes each week). The OOG reasoning helps me forgive them, though, but that's a personal thing, so if you don't connect with that, you're obviously entitled to feel how you feel. Just try to keep it in mind - it'll make you a little less irritated when entries are delayed, at least! Very Happy

Actually, even in game it makes sense that we'd be waiting a long time between entries. If you don't believe me, do the following:

-Tape yourself practically 24/7 for seven months.
-After seven months have passed, bash your head repeatedly on a rock until you lose your memory. Protip: Write down all these instructions and bring them with you before you do this step.
-Go through the tapes and try to figure out what you did during that time, and upload all the footage that ISN'T of you just sleeping, eating, using the bathroom, going to work(??not sure if IG Jay is on welfare or whatever).

You'll probably find it takes you a while to make entries.

I hope for season 3 they spend some time during the break filming entries so that they can have a decent backlog when they start releasing the season. That'd allow them to keep up a reasonably regular pace, which I reckon would help them keep up the tension towards the end.
