Flynn's Arcade @ Disney California Adventure (Anaheim, CA)
and "ElecTRONica" for 2010 winter

Found this recently and I everything I have heard confirms that Flynn's Arcade will be relocated to the old Millionaire building at DCA:

'Tron: Legacy' dance party set for Disney California Adventure this fall

A nighttime street party debuting this fall at Disney California Adventure will be tied to the upcoming "Tron: Legacy" film and will feature sci-fi themed music, dancers and cocktails.

An open call by Disney Auditions looking for hip-hop dancers with martial arts experience, said rehearsals would begin in early September for the new "Tron" nighttime event in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot and the Sun Plaza entrance hub.

The nightly party, with the working title ElecTRONica, would run through the Christmas 2010 release of the much-anticipated movie, reported MiceAge columnist Al Lutz.

ElecTRONica replaces the surprise hit Glow Fest, a booze-fueled dance party scheduled to run through Aug. 22 at DCA. A Disney-fied version of a psychedelic rave, Glow Fest was designed to keep visitors entertained this summer while they waited for the Anaheim theme park's popular new World of Color nighttime water show to begin.

As part of the ElecTRONica event, the former "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" soundstage may be converted into a neon-illuminated Flynn's Arcade modeled on the video arcade in "Tron: Legacy" while the former Hollywood & Dine food court could receive an End of the Line Club makeover based on the futuristic nightclub in the film, according to Screamscape.

If the "Tron" franchise reboot turns into a sequel-inducing blockbuster, Flynn's Arcade could take up permanent residence in the video arcade next to Space Mountain in Disneyland, according to Blue Sky Disney. Similarly, Walt Disney Imagineers have been quietly storyboarding a still embryonic "Tron: Legacy" E-Ticket ride envisioned for 2015 or beyond in Tomorrowland, Blue Sky Disney reported.

In print, but still not fully confirmed regarding the new construction. Hmm, wonder what ElecTronica will be all about? They're seeing if Tron is worth supporting. I doubt remarketing its Legacy will flop. If it did, people like us would love it more, huh? Green light, Disney! C'mon!

I think Disney is doing good at playing it safe, with Tron and the Peoplemover that sat in there for years and most people had no clue what it was. This temp try out could be a great thing if A. it works out for us the fans and B. it works out for them to draw people into not only the parks but into the movies come December

I'll try to check it out opening day, since I'm a passholder. (Which I won't renew, they keep raising the prices and it's getting ridiculous, especially in this economy.)

We will be visiting the resort first weekend in October and really want to check out ElecTRONica, but it isn't listed on the Disney site post Labor Day. Still, from other research, it is suppose to be open until Spring of 2012. Does anyone have any updated information? Hope I don't have to miss out on this as I'm a huge fan of Tron movies.

i've been told by DCA cast that it is to re-open at the end of the month and is closed due to the high volume of construction currently going on in the remodel of sunshine plaza. no actual dates are confirmed. let us know when you are going, maybe we can meet up @ Flynns.

Sunshine plaza is gone, it's all about Bena Vista now. Very Happy

ElecTRONica returns to the Grid tomorrow (Friday) night at 6:55.

If you have some free time, sounds like we'll be there most of the weekend.

I am making a trip to Disneyland next month, and am wondering if ElecTRONica is still going on? I would really like to see it!
