Focus on PETER PAN

Aside from the amount of money(Clue #1), the clues have been vague i.e. television, orange. PETER PAN is very specific we should focus on that clue. For example how does the clue relate to the mental chess game played with the prisoners? Consider the following info found online

Winter, William (1898-1955)
A nephew of James Barrie who wrote Peter Pan and two-time British champion. He had been an active Communist Party organizer and was once sentenced to 6 months in jail for sedition. Winter became a chessplayer after his doctor told him to give up politics. He probably played the only game in master chess that it would have been more profitable to draw or lose than to win. A draw or loss would have qualified him for special awards to non-prizwinners in the London 1927 tournament, which was in excess of 7 English pounds more than his 6th place prize.

Interesting, of course we know that playing to a draw is a PUSH.

and also considering that, in Jim's game in the back of the van, it was also clearly more profitable for Jim to play to a draw rather than a win, since a win might have resulted in Jim's exposing the White Queen to attack while mounting (no pun intended) an assault (again, NPI) on the Black King and protecting the useless (to the prisoners) White King.

Ouch. That is hopefully the first and last time that chess maneuvering and prison sex will EVER be used in the popular media as interchangeable proxies for each other. Paul Morphy is no doubt spinning in his grave.

Good tie-in to Peter Pan, it must be important.
Why PUSH??? It has to mean something.
A game that nobody wins.
A second chance? maybe a second life?

pan land

let's skip the more obvious good vs. evil aspect of pan and look at some other stuff, for fun.

but on the whole the Neverlands have a family resemblance, and if they stood still in a row you could say of them that they have each other's nose, and so forth (sorta like the scene from ep3)

While she slept she had a dream. She dreamt that the Neverland had come too near and that a strange boy had broken through from it. [...] in her dream he had rent the film that obscures the Neverland

in a separate tome, peter is described in terms of having lost his humanity, and not being a boy at all.

Of course, it also shows that Peter is ever so old, but he is really always the same age, so that does not matter in the least. His age is one week, and though he was born so long ago he has never had a birthday, nor is there the slightest chance of his ever having one. The reason is that he escaped from being a human when he was seven days old; he escaped by the window and flew back to the Kensington Gardens.

seven is quite the popular number, is it not?

Now cold was another word Peter had forgotten, so he answered, "I think not, but I may be wrong; you see I am rather ignorant. I am not exactly a boy, Solomon says I am a Betwixt-and-Between."

unfortunately, and to my disgust, it would also appear from bassie's other writings that he was quite probably a pedophile. in the little white bird he write quite eloquently of the passion aroused in the lead character by the sleep over of the young david. somewhat reminiscent of his contemporary, carroll.

David watched my preparations with distasteful levity, but anon made a noble amend by abruptly offering me his foot as if he had no longer use for it, and I knew by intuition that he expected me to take off his boots. I took them off with all the coolness of an old hand, and then I placed him on my knee and removed his blouse. This was a delightful experience, but I think I remained wonderfully calm until I came somewhat too suddenly to his little braces, which agitated me profoundly.

I cannot proceed in public with the disrobing of David.

I think he had nigh fallen asleep again when he stirred and said, "Is it going on now?"

"What?"

"The adventure."

"Yes, David."

Perhaps this disturbed him, for by-and-by I had to inquire, "You are not frightened, are you?"

"Am I not?" he answered politely, and I knew his hand was groping in the darkness, so I put out mine and he held on tightly to one finger.

"I am not frightened now," he whispered.

"And there is nothing else you want?"

"Is there not?" he again asked politely. "Are you sure there's not?" he added.

"What can it be, David?"

"I don't take up very much room," the far-away voice said.

"Why, David," said I, sitting up, "do you want to come into my bed?"

"Mother said I wasn't to want it unless you wanted it first," he squeaked.

"It is what I have been wanting all the time," said I, and then without more ado the little white figure rose and flung itself at me.

In Peter Pan people never get old.......I think everyone in PUSH is frozen in time from 1984.

I see where you're going, but I think that would make it more of a show clue as opposed to a GAME clue. Two very different things, I think (?).

I'm not sure the weekly clues are going to help us solve the mystery of Push as opposed to the game of completing the ultimate solve.
at least that's MHO

Ohhh, I like the frozen in time idea. That would make Mary's quotes about time a little more relevant. Remember in the first episode?

clues

show clue vs game clue, eh? is it just me, or hasn't anyone else gotten the impression the show itself is a sort of soapbox, and experiment? and i'm talking more than proof-of-concept in regard to integrated media. i mean, sheez, if the mil+ is the actual thing in the show we're supposed to be tracking they're not making it real hard to do now, are they? come on, has anyone ever been in doubt from the time popsicle revealed its whereabouts in the desert as to where the cash was? talk about your red herring. (i had more, but skip it. if it's not clear by now, it probably won't be).

Tivix Ter

This may have been mentioned before and if so, i'm sorry but at the begining of the episode it said tivix ter. this was probably an encoded message and really said peter pan. They may decide to put more of these in so it may be important to keep track of the code.

T=P
I=E
V=T
X=R
E=A
R=N

Popsicle? Now, that's not very PC... he's just a little temperature challenged. Wink

I gotta tell ya, I hate messages like this. If you don't want to share, don't come to the board. We don't need "If you're too dumb to figure it out, I'm not gonna tell you" attitudes. We are hear to discuss. If there's something you'd rather all not be privy to, then keep it to yourself. As for what I know and what I don't, that's for me to know and you to find out (when I win the mil).

From Push Times article on Mabel:

Zacharias said that she is going to use the money to take a cruise with several friends and her pet corgi, "Nana."

Wasn't Nana the name of Wendy's dog in PP?

Oh OK, sorry. Didn't want to cause any trouble... miscommunication on my part, I guess.

And honestly, I've read EVERY single post on this website and I think you offer some really good ideas/thoughts/leads. I must be a little cranky about all of this. Apology accepted?
