Ok, sorry guys. I'm back. I don't really have much to contribute that you guys haven't already noted, except maybe some insight into why Cory was behaving the way he has been: In a conversation with him I've had:

Anyways, it looks like someone else is trying to communicate with us. Someone who has access to this "Data Server 3"... which means since you don't know about it, it's most likely someone who has more access to the scientific side of Veil, maybe a technician or a scientist. I can't think of any other reason why we'd be receiving information from a Data Server...

The question is, why would they be contacting us? Given all the subject matter (A disappearance of a young lady and her father's blog, a quote from Frankenstein, which is largely about scientific good intentions gone bad, and now a weird document about erasing memories) I'd say it was someone who had access to the email accounts of future test subjects and was trying to warn us in an elaborate and roundabout way. If that's true, then you're not the only person in Veil who is concerned about whatever's going on. Someone else is trying to contact us.

Do you know anyone who does actual technical or research work for Veil?

So there we have it. Cory wasn't somewhere he wasn't supposed to be, and he CERTAINLY wasn't snooping on anything.

I don't know if that's new information to any of you or not, but I'm thinking Cory's a pawn in some bigger game. Someone's leaking information about Veil out to us, and they took note of Cory and are/were using him. And he's still hiding something. Or at least, he has been from me.

Can I have the link to Bill's blog? I could find it in the forum thread, but it'd take a while...

EDIT: Just got a message from Cory. He wants to meet with people in our "Secure Chat session" on Wednesday at 7 PM PST. So that's 9 PM for me... um, what secure chat thingy is he talking about? Am I forgetting about something?

 		I"ll try to be there as well. Friends have a way of talking me into going drinking on Wednesday nights, but it surely can't hurt to miss one night. Hopefully he'll have something helpful to give us, because I think we may have hit a wall otherwise.

Cory is going to tell us how he found out about all this secret stuff going on, and I think we're still waiting on more info from DS3. But it does kinda feel like we're stuck. There's a lot of information we've gotten but haven't made any connections. With a few more emails from DS3, and Cory's talk, I believe we'll make some headway.

 		On a hunch, I ran all the possible combinations of numbers through a dec/char decoder, and got nothing for my efforts. I would agree, we have hit a wall here. Hopefully, the information we get from Cory will help us move forward....

 		Well, on their site, they claim they created the smallest RFID chip in '97, so I would say early 90's is how long they've been around. I don't know. Anyone with an info packet have more details then that?

I ran it through CS5 earlier. I saw the barcode on the pen, and tried everything I could to clean it up, wondering if scanning it would lead somewhere, but got nothing.

As far as a wiki is concerned, not officially, but the blog findeverandall.blogspot.com is starting to act like an unofficial one...

Don't think that barcode will get us anywhere. When you buy pens as individuals that's typically where the barcode is.

I was trying to scan the one on Cory's badge, but my phone wouldn't scan it off the screen. Didn't bother to try to clean it up or print it.

Almost certainly Stanley, for Stanley Lofgren, Acct. Director at Veil. Worth note is with the exception of Alec Veil and Cory themselves, unless I'm mistaken this is the first dataserver3 email which contains the name of someone still at the company.
