if you drag upwards while viewing the photos it zooms on them. here's the text from those two:
Quote:
Left-Hand Image: "Nikki was shy and had a hard time making friends. But when Nikki met Sam, he filled in. She needed him like she needed food and water. It was bad and they both knew it"
Right-Hand Image: "I can't believe how different we were then. I love you so much, sam."
--
Left-Hand Image of them both bound at the wrists closeup (no link): "Nikki was right. that place was wrong for them. but they had no choice."
Right-Hand Image from photo of them both hogtied from behind: "Hmph-mmph-hph?"

from what I've pieced together it looks like the scraps of paper arriving with the artifacts is just a written note that mirrors the audio that plays in each room.

As no one here has acknowledged in receiving a wallpaper code I emailed asking about this mot publicized item.
This was the response
Quote:
Hi there,
First, we wanted to personally thank you for participating with youregoingtodieinthere.com! Your particular artifact doesn't need to be uploaded to the site, which is why it wasn't accompanied with a wallpaper code – sincere apologies if that was made unclear.
We are ecstatic with the number of people who've registered for an artifact, and so, rather than leave anyone empty-handed, we've sent out special digital artifacts and keepsakes amongst the physical artifacts that reveal more about the stories that appear on youregoingtodieinthere.com. Feel free to post your pictures to Facebook to share with all - a lot of participants are posting their artifacts here: http://www.facebook.com/americanhorrorstory?sk=wall&filter=1
And keep your eyes peeled, there's another room unlocking at youregoingtodieinthere.com just before the premiere on October 5th. We'll let you know when it's ready.
Thanks so much again,

So there's a videotape in the 80s room now, not really sure how long it's been there.
