Because that's not how the game is played there, Spammy McSpamster.
If you'd have guessed Urthstripe's flick, then you'd have won the right to post Citizen Kane. Well... You would have if it hadn't been used, before.
Normally, I'd just post your reply in the Spam cleanup thread and the mods would delete your post. But, in this case your Attempt at providing relevant content means they'll just remove the spammy link.

Who what now? Many of my guesses -- even my submissions! -- are movies I haven't seen. I rather enjoy the detective work of tracking down a movie based on some obscure item in a scene (but not so obscure that there is nothing to put into a search engine and nothing to find a confirming shot of online), almost as much as being able to recognize a single shot from memory.

So, feel free to guess when you want to win the round. Feel free to *say* you think you know it but are declining. And I'll gladly say I have NO idea what this current one is nor how to go about tracking it down.

As for McSpamster, we still would like a mod to remove the external link, even if the post must remain as an example to all who dare cross us.

That's because Rogi is an EXPERT Googler. Us regular people just flail futilely at the internet. Like my uncle... I swear he was a Luddite in a past life.

* Rogi Ocnorb * thinks that, all things being relative, catherwood could benefit by looking at Urthstripe's last post.

Don't know what to do for you guys, other than this, the most recognizable image from the film. Give it a little bit, Rogi, and then you can take it.

Expert googling of "thai film red eyes in forest" brings me to:

Uncle Boonmee

P.S. I'd like to dedicate this win to Spammy McSpamster and the Spamsterettes... Very Happy

You got it, the full title is Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives.

It's a beautiful, if inscrutable, film. Check it out if you're feeling mighty adventurous.

I might just do that. Anyway, it can't be any worse than Transformers 3 - which I managed to endure for about 30 minutes this weekend before turning it off (and burning an effigy of Michael Bay).

Don't know how you can spend $200m making a film about robots fighting robots and yet it be boring as hell...

OK - here you go. My money's on Rogi....

Ahhh, the number 30 bus to Putney... I used to live there, don't you know.

The caps are vaguely "Hitchcock-ian". Given the period... Maybe "Frenzy"?

ETA: Strike that. Score another one for truly bizarre internet sites:
http://www.busesonscreen.net/screen/screenfmfm.htm#funeralinberlin

It IS the number 30 to Putney.
"Funeral in Berlin".
While Frenzy did have 3 shots of Routemasters, they were RML models and not AEC Regents.

Told you Rogi would get it!

Oh man... I even did a Google search before posting that photo and I couldn't find anything.

Somehow I felt obliged. Wink
I'll post one when I get home if nobody else feels inclined.

Edit to add a new pic.

Is it "The Lincoln Lawyer"?

It is!
Not a scene shared by a lot of flicks.

Just like the apes in the opening scene of 2001 I'm starting to learn how to use rudimentary tools to further my evolution...

OK- here you go. No clues this time!! Very Happy
