Finally subscribing...

Hey, folks... it's been a couple of years since I've been around these parts. I followed MH, and then EMH, back on another site, but this seems to be the place to check out TT. I've gone through this entire thread and sort of watched along with you, only viewing the videos when I've gotten to the posts that mention them.

I have to say, while I was wincing at some of the acting early on, I've got to agree that the acting chops have increased then, production quality has increased geometrically, and the story is gripping. Someone earlier in this thread commented that they preferred TT not to cross over with EMH because of the isolation, and I can understand that. I feel like TT does an admirable job of maintaining that isolation: even when staring at Slenderman across the parking lot and is picked up by potential allies, he doesn't say a fucking word. Evan has the same reaction, but possibly for darker reasons (which is OT, so won't mention here).

I won't wax this prosaic and OOG again, I promise, but I have to say: I really admire and respect this new crop of storytellers who use mixed media and post-production effects to scare us in ways that Hollywood struggles to. I hope these are the scary classics we show to our kids one day.

Okay, so- subscribed. And probably won't be posting again until the next submission/tweet comes up. But hi. Smile

oooh, that was pretty neat, Dr. Cairo and Noah finally meet. Crossovers make me all warm and happy inside. I like how there was a puzzle on the table, how symbolic. I just wonder why this wasn't posted a while ago.

EDIT: Is it me, or is there hidden frame at the end of Noah's interview? I think I found it once, but now I can't get it again. Can someone else post it?

Found it. I was hidden at 3:53. Looks like another Observer picture, "YOU ONLY SAW THE SHADOW". The interesting thing is that it showed up in a CompileTRUTH video, meaning the Observer can somehow insert these images into film at will.
...is that dead Milo? Because I see a face, a hand, and a pill bottle. Surprised

Well I was never a big fan of the "Milo is still alive/is the Observer" theory, but if it was hard to argue against before, it's practically impossible now.

Why do people assume "Milo is dead" means the same thing as "Milo is not the Observer/Part of the Observer Collective"?

I like someone on Twitter's reaction to the compileTRUTH video.

@TribeTwelve Dude i know this might be weird but in that picture of milo his mother and the Dr. C you think maybe the Dr. is Cairo?

TribeTwelve wrote:
@Kopeter14 No. We talked about it. Dr. Corenthal and Dr. Cairo are definitely two different people.

Maybe he was apart of the observer collective, when he was alive. Being dead pretty much rules him out as being the observer or in the collective anymore.

Unless we are being shown videos that have been recorded before Milo died /crazyrant

I honestly don't think we can say that given all the clearly supernatural shit that's been going down. The Observer collective has shown both nigh-inhuman levels of stealth when it comes to their capability to consistently and repeatedly follow Noah and sneak things into his room. When they hacked his Formspring I seem to recall they went out of their way to suggest that Milo lives on somehow as part of the collective (zombie? mind/soul absorbed? hard to say). And the recording that got played on that device which responded to Noah's reactions to it despite being a prerecorded sound file suggests something close to precognition.

Bottom line: until the Observer collective is hurt, shows fear, or otherwise is inconvenienced by something, I'm not going to assume they have any limitations at all.

Agreed. Assuming that we've been seeing hints of the Observer in the videos, the Observer possesses supernatural amounts of stealth and possibly dimensional wackiness that allows it/them to watch from underneath a car and the ceiling of a kitchen. The Observer is barely human- it's a veneer of humanity.

SPEC: The Observer is basically the Slenderman's human interface with this universe. It has minimal amounts of agency to mount independent action, and conforms to the SM's will. It executes and performs things in a human way- mocking, alluring, egging on- but it's only to further the SM's purpose, whatever that is.

I wouldn't be surprised if said veneer was slowly exhausted over the years (or through more intense interaction with the human world), and the Observer collective had to be replenished or recharged with more humanity. Maybe it needs pathos, fear, anger, or guilt. Humanity can provide the battery as well as the mechanism for interacting with this reality.

I like this idea, not least because it might explain why the tentacle imagery is so prominent in TT: Slendy's at the middle of the web and the Observer collective is like the "tentacles" it extends forth to interact with the world.

Exactly my point. What, eldrich abominations are fine and dandy but the undead break peoples suspension of disbelief?
